Ezhuthachan College of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Thiruvananthapuram is a reputed institute for pharmaceutical education. With various pharmacy programs on offer, the college pursues a thorough admission process to pick out deserving candidates. Admission procedures vary with respect to the nature of courses, so that deserving candidates can qualify for the desired pharmaceutical program. In case of the undergraduate courses such as B.Pharma and D.Pharma, 50% of the seats go through a centralized allotment by the Government. The other 50% under management quota. The college also takes into account the KEAM entrance examination for the several programs offered by the college and some of the universities in Kerala.

In the Pharm.D programme, admissions are based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The application process varies from one program to another in respect to Ezhuthachan College of Pharmaceutical Sciences:

For B.Pharma and D.Pharma:

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: The B.Pharma program at Ezhuthachan College of Pharmaceutical Sciences has an approved intake of 60 students. Admissions are split between government seats (50%) filled through centralized allotment and management quota seats (50%). Candidates must have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.

D.Pharma: The D.Pharma course also has an intake of 60 students. Similar to B.Pharma, 50% of seats are filled through centralized government allotment while the remaining 50% are under management quota. Eligibility typically includes passing 10+2 with science subjects.

Pharm.D: Pharm.D program admission is based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The college normalizes marks from various boards for fair comparison. A rank list shall be prepared for D.Pharm students seeking admission to Pharm.D on the basis of marks obtained in the first and second year of D.Pharm examination conducted by PCI-approved institutions.

M.Pharma: The college offers M.Pharma with specializations in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (12 seats), Pharmaceutics (15 seats), and Pharmacology (6 seats). Admission is mainly through GPAT scores. Candidates not having GPAT may be considered based on their B.Pharm aggregate marks (II, III, and IV year), and there is no separate interview for M.Pharma admission.
