G. Pulla Reddy College of Pharmacy, Hyderabad, is one of the famous pharmacy educational centers that has the affiliation of Osmania University. There are many courses available here such as B.Pharma, M.Pharma, Pharm.D, and Ph.D. The procedure for admission in G. Pulla Reddy College of Pharmacy is done through the method of choosing the most deserving students on the merit of national-level and state-level entrance exams.
For B.Pharma and Pharm.D courses, 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology as mandatory subjects is the minimum eligibility. For the application of M.Pharma, the candidates must have a B.Pharma degree from a known institution. Ph.D. applicants must hold a Master's degree in the concerned stream of Pharmacy.
Application Process
Application procedure at G. Pulla Reddy College of Pharmacy differs based on the course:
For B.Pharma and Pharm.D:
1. Attend TS EAMCET exam.
2. Fill in TS EAMCET counseling if found eligible.
3. Participate in web-based counseling and select G. Pulla Reddy College of Pharmacy and preferred course.
4. If seat is given, report to college for verification of documents and payment of fees.
For M.Pharma:
1. Appear for GPAT or TS PGECET exam.
2. Fill in TS PGECET counseling.
3. Participate in web-based counseling and select G. Pulla Reddy College of Pharmacy and preferred specialization.
4. In seat allotted, approach the college to undergo document verification and admission formalities.
For Ph.D:
1. Take admission for Ph.D. Entrance Exam organized by Osmania University.
2. In case shortlisted, attend an interview convened by the Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, Osmania University.
3. On selection, report to G. Pulla Reddy College of Pharmacy for completing the admission procedure.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Pharma: TS EAMCET counseling admissions are made for the 4-year B.Pharma course. The college has 60 seats in this course. 70% of the seats are occupied according to TS EAMCET ranks and 30% management quota seats, which are occupied according to Intermediate merit or according to rules of the state government.
M.Pharma: The college provides several specializations in M.Pharma, such as Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, and Regulatory Affairs. Admission is made on the basis of GPAT scores and TS PGECET ranks. 70% of the seats are allotted on the basis of these exams, and 30% are management quota seats. Intake is total and varies depending on specialization, from 11 to 16 seats.
Pharm.D: It's a 6-year program of 32 seats, wherein the admissions are given through TS EAMCET counseling. Same as that for B.Pharma admissions, whereby 70% of the seats are provided under counseling and 30% in management quota.
Ph.D: Full-time and part-time Ph.D. courses are available in pharmaceutical sciences at the college. The admissions are based on a Ph.D. Entrance Exam held by Osmania University, and an interview by the Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, University College of Technology, Osmania University.
