Ghanshyam Hemlata Institute of Technology and Management (GHITM), Puri, is a prominent educational institution in the state of Odisha. The institute provides B.Tech courses in different branches of engineering and has a well-defined admission process aimed at selecting worthy candidates. GHITM's admission process is mostly dependent on the ranks obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, keeping the selection process fair and competitive.
The admission process of GHITM generally follows the schedule of the JEE Main exams. Aspiring students must monitor the dates of JEE Main exams, which are held in January and April every year. Counseling is organized by Biju Pattanaik Technical University (BPUT), which facilitates selection and seat allocation.
For eligibility, students need to have done 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. Although no percentage is specifically required, the students need to have a good background in the above subjects to satisfy the admission requirements of the institute.
GHITM follows scores of two prominent entrance exams:
1. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main
2. Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE)
These tests evaluate the candidates' knowledge and ability in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, which are essential for engineering courses.
