Government College of Art and Craft (Govt. College of Art & Craft) Agartala is a top-level institution of the state of Tripura for imparting training to young artists. The college conducts courses in the visual arts and has a competitive admission procedure for the selection of students with a flair for the arts. Degree wise Admission Process

BVA Painting Bachelor of Visual Arts (Painting) is a four year course. Merit based strictly on Common Admission Test (CAT) organized by the college. Merit list is announced after result declaration of CAT.

BVA Sculpture: The same process of admission is followed for this four year course as for the BVA in Painting with the shortlisting of candidates on the basis of the Common Admission Test and then release of a merit list.

BVA Advertising Design: Admission to the 4-year BVA in Advertising Design course is also based on the Common Admission Test as the admission criteria. A merit list is released based on the CAT score.

BVA Art History: Admission to the four-year BVA in Art History course is also determined by the candidate's CAT score. A merit list of selected candidates is released after analyzing the CAT results.

Diploma in Visual Arts: The entry to this three year diploma program is also on the basis of the Common Admission Test organized by the Government College of Art and Crafts.
