It completely depends on your rank. If your rank is near to 1k then you will have a secure position to take an admission and you will have so many options.

Since you have categorical reservation it will help you decrease your rank making you eligible for many colleges.

Now it can't be possible to change the college because both the college doesn't have any student transfer programme so with help of that you can get transferred.

Based on your rank and caste there is a chance of getting admission please mention your caste to help you better

Based on your rank it's really hard to get admission in gcet because of the cutoff rank for general caste-753 and sc-891 but try your luck

The coounselling process is going on in the colleges which will last till last week of July 2019. Most probably the classes will commence from last week of Jul 2019 or first week of August 2019.

In GCET Jammu i.e Government College of Engineering Technology, if you have a rank under 200 then you can get your desired branch in the college.

If you have a rank under 1000 rank then you wont have any choice of branch but you can get a branch in the college.

As most of the seats are occupied up till 1000 rank students.

So with above 2000 rank, I am sorry to say but it would be a miracle for you to get a seat in any of the branch. You can give it a try as seats are reserved for girls in the college.
