GCT Coimbatore facilities include a hostel for boys on the college campus. The boys’ hostel includes spacious and well-maintained rooms in the hostel. The hostels ensure that students have comfortable accommodation by providing them with facilities such as Wi-Fi internet access, fully furnished rooms, RO drinking water, electricity, telephone etc.

Government College of Technology, Coimbatore provides a girls hostel with all necessary facilities like spacious rooms, electricity, telephone, drinking water facility, Wi-Fi etc.

The Government College of Technology, Coimbatore has an on-site clinic for staff and students who require immediate medical treatment. The medical supervisor comes to college for medical treatment on a regular basis. The unit is functioning with a medical officer, a pharmacist and a male nurse assistant. The dispensary functions both in morning and evening sessions.

The library is well-equipped and provides a relaxing environment for quiet reading, group cooperation, individual study, and recreational reading. More than one lakh items, including technical books, reports and journals are housed in this contemporary central library. The library has 89 print magazine subscriptions and e-journal subscriptions, as well as a collection of bound volumes (back-numbers). A textbook bank of 15,000 books is available at the library. Each department has its own library for convenience. Aside from the core library, a well-equipped digital library has been established to help students significantly.

Government College of Technology, Coimbatore has playing fields where students can participate in a number of sports. Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of sports to be active and healthy. Indoor and outdoor sports facilities are available at the campus.

The college has a computer centre with high-speed LAN with a fibre optics backbone. The computer centre has a 64 kbps leased line with a fibre optic backbone network facility provided to the entire campus, which provides 24*7 internet connectivity to the college.

The seating capacity of the college auditorium is about 850. It has a 35mm projector and a large screen for screening movies. The auditorium also has sound systems and two green rooms.

Government College of Technology, Coimbatore is equipped with a bus (60 seaters) that is available for use by students and employees at regulated rates and conditions on prior written application.

GCT alumni association has launched itself in the effort of creating an Alumni center inside the college campus, to effectively and efficiently extend its services to current students, Staffs, and Alumni. The Alumni Association has over 4000 Alumni. The Foundation stone Layed by Thiru. V.K.JEYAKODI, I.A.S, Principal Secretary/Commissioner of Technical Education, Directorate of Technical Education on 9th March 2009. The Alumni Centre was inaugurated by Thiru. R. MEGANATHAN (1975 Batch) & Dr.THANGAM MEGANATHAN Founder and Chairman of Rajalakshmi Educational Institutions, Chennai 1975 on 19th February 2012. The Building has Built up an area around 1500 sq. m. with car park facilities. The total cost of the building is Rs.2.0 crores.

The college provides 24x7 Wi-Fi facilities to the entire campus. Students and faculty members can access the internet through Wi-Fi connectivity.

The State Bank of India (SBI) has a fully fledged branch with core banking network, ATM and Internet banking facilities in the college campus. It offers all types of banking services to the staff and the students. It functions during 6 days in the week from Monday to Saturday. Student fees and other payments are remitted through this in-campus bank branch only. 24 hour ATM service with 2 ATMs are available.

Day scholars can have food at the Non-Resident Student Centre (NRSC). It also offers food to residents, parents, and visitors.

There is a cooperative store within the college campus. The store sells books, instruments, stationery, and other items that students need.
