To get into GLC is tough with your score even with a caste certificate because the cut off for GLC goes high but you can wait till 3rd list .And if not GLC than there are colleges like DY patil, Pravin  Gandhi, lLS though chances are tough to get into ILS.

The minimumpercentage requiredforLLBcourseaftergraduation is mostly 50% for the general and OBC category and 5 to10% less for SC and ST candidates. Somecollegesand Universities keep the same at 45% for General and OBC while 5 to10% less than the same for SC and ST candidates.

The cutoff varies every year depending on the various factors such as No. of candidates appeared for the exam, Difficulty level of the exam, Performance of the candidates etc. However as per the previous year, You can try to score around 130-145 score to get a seat in Government Law College, Mumbai.

Acoording to previous years cutoff for MHT CET law for Indiam law society law college (ILS) is from 110 to 145 .So in order to get ILS law college you need to get minimum of 110 marks and the cutoff for government law college is from 130 to 145. Dear Dipu, admissions for 5 year Integrated Law courses at Givernment Law College, Mumbai happens on the basis of the entrance examination CET. One of the renowned universities, University of Delhi offers LLB and LLM in both English and Hindi language and entrance test to them is also available in the respective language.

Eligibility Criteria / Entry Requirements

1)All candidates having a Graduate / Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognised as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate in either of them.2)The candidates belonging to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe with a Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi.3)Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to the candidates belonging to the CW category.4)Relaxation of upto 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to the candidates belonging to the PH category on the recommendations of the Medical Board.

Mode of Admission

Based on a rank obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the University. The notification for the entrance examination will generally be released in the month of March / April and the Entrance Examination will be generally held in the last week of June every year. The entrance test notification will appear in leading newspapers and will also be put up on the Internet. Bulletin of Information with application form may be obtained from the office of the Admission Committee, Faculty of Law. 1. The candidate appearing in the qualifying degree examination or awaiting the results of any such examination are also eligible to appear in the Test provisionally but they cannot be considered for admission unless they produce at the time of admission proof of their having secured the above percentage of marks and other relevant documents as indicated in the prospectus. 2. Rounding of a fraction of marks is not allowed.

THE FACULTY OF LAW, PANJAB UNIVERSITY IS CONSIDERED AMONG THE TOP LAW FACULTIES IN INDIA FOR LLB, SO THE EXAMINATION IS OF PRIME IMPORTANCE FOR THE STUDENTS.

Following are the important dates for the entrance examination:

4. PU LLB 2019:Third week of June 2019

PU LLB 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Aspirants of PU LLB 2019 need to check the eligibility criteria of PU LLB 2019 as given below before filling the application form of PU LLB 2019.
  • A candidate should acquire a bachelor’s degree from any recognized university.
  • With a bachelor’s degree, it is also important to score at least 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying degree. 
  • For the candidates belonging to reserved categories, there is 5% relaxation to score in the qualifying degree.  
  • There is no age bar to appear in PU LLB 2019. 

 Government Law College , Mumbai offers two courses in law: (1) Three Year and (2) Five Year degree Courses in Law (LL.B).

GLC will conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET) Entrance examination this year in accordance with guidelines from the University of Mumbai. Thus, students will have to appear for the CET Examination to seek admission in Government Law College, Mumbai.

The CET Examination for the 3-year LL.B course will be conducted on 19th June 2019.

Eligibility criteria:

  • A candidate possessing the Bachelor’s Degree of Mumbai University, in any faculty with minimum 50% marks or corresponding degree of any other University recognized as equivalent there to by the Mumbai University with the minimum prescribed marks is eligible for admission to the First Year LL. B.
  • The above percentage of marks shall be relaxed by 5 % for candidates belonging to the reserved Categories recognized as such by the Government of Maharashtra. Admission is given strictly on merit.
