If you want a seat in a government law college you need to crack CLAT but even if you crack it and secure one seat you can't afford a national law college as they have fees more than 10 lakhs rupees.
you can explore other options like applying to less competitive government law colleges in your state.state colleges has very less fee not more than 10k which is easily payable like bhu, amu, jmi etc.
Also you can look for scholarships or financial aid programs within government colleges, or considering law from recognized universities which might be more affordable than private colleges.
Hope it helps...
Hello,
Known as Tamil Nadu Government Law Colleges, such colleges are instituted for the purpose of providing legal education throughout the state. The best of these are the ones in Chennai at the Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College founded in 1891, and arguably one of the oldest in the country. Most of these colleges are administered by the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, under whose vision the curriculum and quality of legal education are sustained.
Spread across different districts such as Madurai, Coimbatore, Trichy, and Tirunelveli, these law colleges offer undergraduate-level LL.B. and postgraduate-level LL.M. courses based on merit admissions, which are mostly entrance exam or previous academic performances.
Opportunities for mooting to students, internships, and exposure of the real-life challenges of the legal world while making the fees affordable and the good faculty profile form an important role in the development of future lawyers, judges, and legal professionals in Tamil Nadu.
