Gujarat Arts and Science College, Ahmedabad Admission Process

Gujarat Arts and Science College (GASC), is a well-known and esteemed institution from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The college provides diversified postgraduate and undergraduate courses in science and art. GASC has a rigorous admission process to screen candidates well-eligible for its courses.

Application Process

Application process of Gujarat Arts and Science College is as follows:

8. For the programs for which entrance tests or interviews are necessary, the candidates will be intimated about the date, time, and venue on the college website or through registered email.

9. The shortlisted candidates must complete the admission procedure, i.e., document verification and payment of fees, within the given timeframe.

10. Shortlisting of waiting list candidates for admission will be done if vacant seats are remaining after the first round of admissions.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.A. Programs:
GASC provides B.A. courses in many subjects such as Gujarati, Sanskrit, English, Maths, Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Political Science, and History. B.A. admissions are made on the basis of marks scored in the 10+2 exam. The college provides an aggregate intake of 100 seats for most B.A. programs except a few:

  • B.A. English: 62
  • B.A. Psychology: 60
  • B.A. Sociology: 60
  • B.A. Hindi: 60

B.Sc. Programs

The college provides B.Sc. in Chemistry, Mathematics, Microbiology, Electronics, Botany, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, and Zoology. B.Sc. is provided based on science stream marks in 10+2. 

The intake capacity of the different programs is different:

  • B.Sc. Chemistry: 180
  • B.Sc. Mathematics: 80
  • B.Sc. Microbiology (Hons.): 60
  • B.Sc. Electronics: 30
  • B.Sc. Botany: 30
  • B.Sc. Statistics: 30

M.A. Programs
GASC provides M.A. in Psychology, Hindi, and Sociology courses. Admission to these courses is based on the performance of the candidate in the bachelor's course. The intake capacity for M.A. Psychology and M.A. Hindi is 75 seats for each.

M.Sc. Courses
The college offers M.Sc. courses in Chemistry, Electronics, Microbiology, Computer Science, and Physics. Admission is based on graduation marks of the candidate in the respective department.

Intake capacity is different:

  • M.Sc. Chemistry: 30
  • M.Sc. Electronics: 20
  • M.Sc. Microbiology: 17

I am study in gujrat arts and science college for b.sc. course for chemistry subject, i like teaching nd atmosphere, i like to attached in curriculum in b.sc(chemistry), such a good benefit for job from college .

Academy of Gujarat arts and Science College is average because of Government College and the professor staff are also irregular. Although college provides library with over 5000 + books and it also free for all students of Gujarat arts and Science College

Overall okay

Academics

Average.Not too strict but Prof were supportive. Definitely need more class schedule. I would say more Laboratory classes would be nice.Also doubt solving sessions would be good.Need to work more on that.
