Himachal Institute of Technology, Sirmour Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Himachal Institute of Technology (HIT), Sirmour, is a premier engineering college at Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh. The institution provides various B.Tech programs and has a well-organized admission process for selecting worthy candidates. HIT is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to provide quality engineering education. 

The major entry mode to HIT Sirmour is the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, a national-level engineering entrance test. For admission to B.Tech in HIT Sirmour, the candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Application Process

Application process for HIT Sirmour admission is as follows:

1. JEE Main Application: The candidates will be required to apply for and appear in the JEE Main examination held by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The JEE Main 2025 application form will likely open in November 2024.

2. JEE Main Examination: The candidates must appear in the JEE Main examination on the given date and center. The examination is held in online mode.

3. Result Announcement: Once the JEE Main result is announced, the eligible candidates can apply for admission in HIT Sirmour.

4. Counseling Registration: Eligible candidates must register for the counseling procedure. This could be at the state level or through a centralized counseling procedure.

5. Choice Filling: At the time of counseling, the applicants must fill college and course choices, i.e., HIT Sirmour and its different B.Tech courses.

6. Seat Allotment: Seats are distributed among the applicants based on JEE Main rank and filled options.

7. Document Verification: Once seats are allocated in HIT Sirmour, applicants are required to come to the institute for document verification. Documents required generally are:

• 10th and 12th mark sheet and certificates
• Category certificate (if necessary)

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering: One of the prominent courses of HIT Sirmour with an approved intake of 120 students. The admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in JEE Main and following counseling process.

B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: One of the recent courses of the institution, its intake is 60 students. Students must clear JEE Main and then follow the rest of the admission procedure.

B.Tech Mechanical Engineering: This is one of the core engineering courses with an intake of 30 students approved. Admission through JEE Main ranks.

B.Tech Electrical Engineering: This is another core engineering course with an intake of 30 students. Admission through performance in JEE Main.

B.Tech Civil Engineering: This course admits 30 students on the basis of their ranks in JEE Main and the counseling process.

B.Tech Advanced Communication Technology: Mention is not done, but the course also has the JEE Main-based admission process.

For all of these courses, candidates should have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics as mandatory subjects. The final admission is done based on the rank in the JEE Main and the following counseling process.
