Hindu College of Engineering and Technology was founded in Guntur. It offers admission into several engineering courses with a stringent admission process laid down by the institute. It has put in place a two-category admission system for its undergraduate programs which are designed to ensure fair, diverse intake of students. Undergraduate B.Tech Programs: The college has Category-A with 70% of the seats allocated to be filled through Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET), whereas the remaining seats (Category-B) will be managed by the management through separate admissions advertised through newspapers. This mode of admission allows granting admissions through merit as well as student's discretion of management.
It considers AP EAMCET scores for the B.Tech Admissions and AP POLYCET (Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test) scores for the Diploma offerings. These are state-level entrance examinations which are conducted every year most of the time. While AP EAMCET is for Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical streams, AP POLYCET is for admission candidates into polytechnic courses, All candidates should monitor the dates of the AP EAMCET and AP POLYCET examinations because they will be disseminated to students by the respective examination authorities.
