The HIET library aims at providing access to its printed resources such as books and journals for the use of faculty and staff. Its holdings should reflect their interest largely. The library's present stock available now in HIET is 14,000 books and also to add books in the library as prescribed by the DOTE and AICTE norms. The library is also currently subscribed to 77periodicals every year. The library is supervised by the Librarian and assisted by assistants also.
The day-to-day running of the library is conducted by the librarian who is assisted by the library staff. The library holdings will be checked annually by the faculty members and library staff.

The HIET has excellent playgrounds and facilities. Students can practice volleyball, basketball, cricket, football, table tennis, shuttle badminton, and carom. The students who are interested in joining the sports activities in the Institution should bring their sports and games certificates if any, won at the school level they will be selected for sports and games activities, and outstanding performers will be selected to represent the college in various tournaments.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The College cafeteria is very spacious and is situated within the college premises. The conducive atmosphere at the canteen provides solace for the students, to relax and also have sumptuous food along with their friends. The canteen can accommodate more than 450 students.

The canteen is beneficial for both the staff and students and there is absolutely no need to venture out for refreshments and lunch. Wheels and Wings cafeteria proudly boasts hygienic food at a low tariff, potable water, and excellent service. There are separate dining facilities for students and staff.  

The College has adequate bus services, which are made available to the students and the faculty members for commuting from various points in the city and also operated from the suburban to the campus and back. All students should make use of the college transport or should stay in the hostel. This facility has made it possible to start the classes in time and thereby helping the academic process.

HIET has a diploma program of six engineering branches. In fact, it proudly hosts the largest department in terms of faculty and students. The focus is to impart technical knowledge to students, enhance their skills, and encourage them to take up various research projects. The students obtain hands-on experience in 3D Technology, Computer Technology, VG TAP workshops, Automobile Labs and Language labs, and special training in welding patterns, forging, machining, etc. They get to work with advanced machines like CNC, lathe trainers, educational robots, and many more. Moreover, industry visits, vocational training, seminars, and workshops are periodically organized to assist and enrich the students in all ways possible.

The college has a parking space facility for its faculty, staff, and students.

HIET provides ambulance services to convey sick people or injured persons as quickly as possible to a hospital for medical attention. It is the duty and responsibility of the government or private organization/institute to make provision for ambulance service for the hostellers and day scholars too.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

Self-help, co-operation, and a spirit of the common good are some of the virtues anticipated from the inmates of the hostel. The senior inmates of the hostel are expected to be more responsible and set good examples for junior students. Everyone should uphold the dignity and self-respect of every other student in the hostel. Inmates are expected to utilize the best infrastructure facilities and uphold the reputation of the hostel as well as the institute.
