HIMT College Chennai Admission Process

Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training (HIMT) Kalpakkam offers admission to its diploma and undergraduate (UG) courses in the Engineering and Architecture and Sciences streams. HIMT admissions are offered to Diploma, B.Sc, and B.E/B.Tech courses. HIMT admission is offered on the basis of candidates' performance in IMU CET, along with candidates' performance in the qualifying exam.

Following that, shortlisted candidates for HIMT admissions will be called for the further round. Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training admission will be done after the document verification and payment of the course fee. Eligible candidates can apply for HIMT admission to the desired course by filling out the online application form and paying the fee for the same. Check out the HIMT selection process.

HIMT Admission Criteria

B.Sc Nautical Science	Entrance (IMU CET)	Panel Interview- Candidates holding IMU CET rank can directly wank in to access the HIMT admission process immediately, subject to seat availability and clearing medicals. Medical examination- Shortlisted candidates will undergo a stringent medical exam with a DGS-approved doctor. The same can also be done with HIMT's in-house DGS-approved doctors.
B.Tech Marine Engineering	Entrance (IMU CET)
B.Tech Marine Engineering Lateral Entry		Shortlisted candidates will be called for the admission process which includes Panel Interview. Medical examination- Shortlisted candidates will undergo a stringent medical exam with a DGS-approved doctor. The same can also be done with HIMT's in-house DGS-approved doctors.

HIMT UG Admissions 2024

Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training (HIMT) offers Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) is a full-time undergraduate degree programme. The course education of B.Sc is 3 years and for B.Tech the duration is 4 years.

HIMT UG Eligibility Criteria

B.Sc Nautical Science	Candidates should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as separate subjects. The total aggregate of PCM will not be less than 60% and a Minimum of 50% marks in the English language at 10th and 12th standard.
B.Tech Marine Engineering
B.Tech Lateral Entry	Candidates should have done their 3-year Engineering diploma in a relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks in total aggregate from a recognised institution.

HIMT B.Sc and B.Tech Admission Process:B.Sc/B.Tech

Candidates must meet the required eligibility criteria
Visit the official website HIMT to fill out the online application
Candidates should have appear and secure a valid scorecard of IMU CET exam.
The final HIMT admission list will be prepared on the basis of candidates performance in their past academics and in the IMU CET entrance exam
Shortlisted candidates will have to submit all the necessary documents along with HIMT course fee.

HIMT B.Tech Lateral Entry Admission Process

Candidates must satisfy the required HIMT eligibility criteria
Candidates can fill out the HIMT B.Tech Lateral Entry online application form by visiting the official website
Authorities will grant admission to HIMT B.Tech Lateral Entry on the basis of candidates performance in the qualifying exam
At the time of admission card are required to sumit all the relevant documents.

I am studying BTech me ie marine engineering. Iam in the 3rd year now, academics in this college are quite good compared to other maritime colleges because the faculty in this college has good experience and knowledge.
