Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training (HIMT) Kalpakkam offers admission to its diploma and undergraduate (UG) courses in the Engineering and Architecture and Sciences streams. HIMT admissions are offered to Diploma, B.Sc, and B.E/B.Tech courses. HIMT admission is offered on the basis of candidates' performance in IMU CET, along with candidates' performance in the qualifying exam.
Following that, shortlisted candidates for HIMT admissions will be called for the further round. Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training admission will be done after the document verification and payment of the course fee. Hindustan Institute of Maritime Training (HIMT) offers Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) is a full-time undergraduate degree programme. The course education of B.Sc is 3 years and for B.Tech the duration is 4 years.

Candidates should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as separate subjects. The total aggregate of PCM will not be less than 60% and a Minimum of 50% marks in the English language at 10th and 12th standard. | |

I am pursuing Graduate Marine Engineering (GME). Having completed my B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, I chose this course to embark on a career in the sea. The curriculum is extensive, but our faculty members simplify complex concepts, making them easy to understand and learn the training at HIMT equips you with all the necessary skill for a shipboard career.
I have pursued GME course under IMEC GME Indian cadet program, I had completed my Btech Mechanical course and joined this course, I wanted to start my merchant Navy career at sea, that's the reason why I chose this course, the syllabus is vast but our faculties teach the concepts in a simplified way so very easy to understand and learn. The training at HIMT makes you aquire all the skills required for the shipboard job.
I am studying BTech me ie marine engineering. Iam in the 3rd year now, academics in this college are quite good compared to other maritime colleges because the faculty in this college has good experience and knowledge.
