The Institute of Higher Learning and Technology, situated in Kutch. The institution runs a plethora of AICTE-approved undergraduate and postgraduate engineering and technologies programs. Admission procedures are simplified with the well-structured admission system for selecting deserving candidates for the different undergraduate and postgraduate degrees offered in this institute. Admission usually goes along with the academic-year beginning around August-September, with applications open months before. For undergraduate programs, HJD Institute takes admissions mainly based on GUJCET exam scores.
For ME programs, the admission of postgraduates is based primarily on GATE scores and Gujarat Post Graduate Common Entrance Test scores. Dates for the GATE examination are set for February I & II next year, while the specific dates for Gujarat PGCET will be released shortly thereafter. Eligibility Criteria is mentioned below for every program. For students looking to enroll in the BE courses, complete 10+2 pattern with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, keeping in mind a minimum aggregate score usually around 50 to 55 percent in the qualifying examination.

Degree-wise Admission Process
BE (Bachelor of Engineering): HJD Institute offers four BE programs: Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. GUJCET marks mainly determine admission to these four programs. A total of 150 students can be enrolled in these programs, of which Civil Engineering has been allocated the highest intake of 60 seats. The admission process, in this case, includes counseling followed by seat allotment as per the rank of the candidate in GUJCET as well as the choice of the candidate.
ME (Master of Engineering): Four ME programs are offered by the institution: Structural Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and CAD CAM. The admissions are based on GATE scores, with some institutes also considering other Government Approved PGCETs (Gujarat PGCET). The total intake for the ME programs is 54, with the largest seat capacity again being Structural Engineering with 18 seats. Once the entrance examinations are conducted, candidates are called for interview sessions based on performance in the entrance examination.
Diploma Programs: There are few diploma courses offered in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering by the HJD Institute, each with a 30-60 intake. The admission process of diploma courses may differ from those of BE and ME, and it is likely to be based on state diploma entrance examination or 10 grade merit.
