Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science is a three-year full-time course offered by University of Delhi, Delhi.
The Department of Computer Science started working within IP in the year 1997. Today, IP is one of the few select colleges in the University of Delhi with hi-tech infrastructure, an updated curriculum and excellent faculty to offer 6-semester B.Sc.(H) Computer Science programme. Uniquely, this Course is open to students from all academic backgrounds and does not require any prerequisite knowledge in Computer Science.
We have a dedicated computer science block, which has 3 computer labs and one lecture room. All the labs have latest computer systems and printers which are all connected through LAN. These systems are updated/replaced from time to time to keep up with the latest technology. Each of the labs and lecture rooms has an overhead projector to enhance the teaching and learning process.
The course covers all aspects, right from the fundamentals such as Programming, Data Structures, Algorithms, Databases, Computer Networks to advanced courses such as Microprocessors, Network Programming, Graphics, Advanced Algorithms and so on. This way the course prepares anyone for higher education. There are many further options available for the students after completing this course. They take up the placements offered to them through campus placements. They enroll for M.Sc.(CS)/MCA, M.Sc.(OR), M.Sc.(Informatics) courses after completing B.Sc.(H) Computer Science. In M.Sc. Computer Sc. course of University of Delhi, 50% of the seats are filled on the basis of merit in B.Sc. (H) Computer Science Examination of University of Delhi. Many of our students also enroll for MBA course after graduating from this course.

A candidate passed in the higher secondary examination (10+2) or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology as major subjects in science stream from any recognized board.

College Infrastructure

I personally haven't been to the college but through the virtual tour, I could actually figure out how beautiful the college is. We have a huge library and our colleges provides us with various sports facilities. That's all I know.

College Infrastructure

The college have all good infrastructure as compared to other du colleges. Networks in the campus are nearly nil. Library is quite amazing and has collection of variety of books. The college canteen has low price food but food is not that good.
