The institute follows different admission procedures for different courses. The admissions at the Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University are conducted through centralised counselling based on GUJCET for B.Pharm. On the other hand, the admissions to M.Pharm programmes are done on the basis of GPAT score. Pharm D admissions are conducted on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. The institute conducts admissions into PhD on the basis of an entrance exam followed by interview. For Post Doctoral programmes, the candidate must attend a personal interview which is preceded by a presentation of the research proposal.

The admissions to the MPharm courses at Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University are conducted on the basis of GPAT score. After appearing for the GPAT exam and obtaining a valid score, candidates have to apply to the institute.

The admissions to the 6 year Doctor of Pharmacy course (Pharm D) is conducted on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. Candidates must have passed Class 12 with PCM/PCB/PCMB in order to be eligible for admission. D.Pharm qualified students are also eligible for admission.
