Jesus and Mary College, Delhi admissions for the academic year 2024-25 are open.
I feel on the infrastructure front ,JMC is one of the best colleges of Delhi University. We have laptops and projectors that we can conveniently use for our presentations in class, with sufficient electricity points as well. The library is very well maintained, has a huge collection of books and is air conditioned as well, which makes it a peaceful study environment. Sports infrastructure is good as well. The canteen is average and has affordable food.
I am pursuing Bcom Honours and the faculty is really good. All the teachers are very well qualified and knowledgeable. As far as the curriculum is concerned for the whole of Delhi University, I think it should be updated on a more regular basis and enhancement is needed to make the graduates more ready to perform better jobs .
Various good companies such as the Big 4 Accounting Firms offer placement in the college for Commerce Graduates. The average package is around 4-5 lakhs, which I feel is decent after a 3 year college degree.
Being a government college, the fees is around 15000 a year only, which is extremely affordable for good quality education. The money spent on the course is totally worth it looking at the further career prospects.
The campus life at JMC is super fun and amazing. At the heart of Delhi ,it is one of the best college campuses in the University with good infrastructure and beautiful gardens and fields. There are a lot of extra curricular activities for students to engage in ,lot of fests going on throughout the year . It is very well connected to a lot of fun hangout spots like Satya Niketan, Khan Marker etc. All in all , it offers a great environment for good study and a very fun college life .
JMC is one of the best colleges in the University, considering numerous facets. I strongly recommend it to everyone.
College infrastructure is quite good and parks are there. The environment is good. Smart board facility is there and college canteen serves good food. And the classes are well maintained. There is sports Centre also.
Teachers are good. They are quite dedicated and always there for our doubts. The quality of teaching is normal, nor that good neither that bad. We study and do practical implementation also and learn from Daily examples.
The placement process is good and some companies come in our college. Our placement cell is also good and always give us prior information about the company and all the knowledge provided. This helps us to get ready for the placement.
Course cost is normal not that much High and not that much low . Our college feel is Also not that costly so one can afford the cost. The facilities that is being provided by the college is worth paying that much.
The campus life is very good. We always enjoy the environment and positivity we got there. The location is good and safe too. It can handle the emergencies also. The students can engage in lot of activities.
The conclusion is that college is good and you can think of taking admission here especially for B.Com. Other courses are also good and you will surely enjoy every aspect of it. In addition you can learn various things
The infrastructure is pretty decent. There are very big classrooms and a few halls allotted to each department. Our Main hall is very very huge and mostly all the functions happen there. The canteen was recently restructured in 2018/19 and the food is hygienic and tasty
The faculty of the commerce department are really really good. They are well versed with the subject and will help at any point of time that you go to them for doubts. The curriculum is followed as same as that followed in all DU colleges
The placements are at an average level. Companies like KPMG, DELOITTE,E Y come for placements. The interviews are all handled really well by the placement team. The college has their own policy for placement which you have to follow which is a bit annoying but in all its decent.
All facilities mentioned above are available at all time. Class rooms are well equipped and library is always stocked with the latest books. Campus cleanliness is always maintained and food is hygienic and of great quality.
I'm a member of the Department of History which has extremely learned teachers who know their subject well and are extremely passionate about imparting education onto their students. Classroom discussions inculcate all the latest issues.
The students get placed at great institutions. The salaries received are extremely desirable. The placement process is thorough and the most deserving people get chosen. Throughout the three years the college will provide you with opportunities and be supportive.
Every college of DU takes minimal fees and the education provided is the best. All the money that you put is worth it and is put in the right places in the right amount. You'll be provided with a break up of the cost.
The campus is the best part about JMC. You can find for yourself many comfortable spots. Members of the institution are helpful and kind. The college is located in the embassy area which is a very safe and desirable location.
Every person should definitely consider JMC. It offers the best in terms of everything from the quality of education to extra curriculars to the overall experience. As a student I say with personal experience that it'd be loved.
College infrastructure is quite good compared to the other DU south colleges. There is cleanliness and greenery everywhere. Campus wifi is good, the labs are well equipped and are well maintained. Sports ground is there. The auditorium and library are fully air conditioned.
Jmc consists of experienced and highly qualified teachers. They are understanding, helpful and guides you whenever one feels stuck. Teachers provide us with notes and books which helps us alot. Even the difficult topics seems easy.
Being a first year student I don't have much idea about the college placement. I asked one of my seniors and they said that various companies and organisations visit our college for campus placements.
Campus life is interesting. With studies one can explore different fields too. It gives us various opportunities where we can show our talents. The professorsclasses to clear doubts and open our minds to things beyond formal education and classrooms.
Jesus and mary is a girls college and full attention is given to maintain the security of girls. Here the college life is great. There are many societies which give apple of opportunity to students to explore themselves. Fests and others functions are organised time to time. The holistic development of the student takes place.
Ye the college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments like elevators, sliders for handicaps and ground floor classrooms. It has clinic, well lit classrooms, labs, libraries, sports ground and hostel.
I am studying Bachelor of Elementary Educators because I always wanted to be a teacher. Even though the course is slightly different from other courses, still the college provides highly qualified teaching faculties.
Since I am in my first year only, I don't really know about it but I have listened that the college provides an average amount of placements. But I still can't say much about it because whatever you listen may jot always true.
The college fee is definitely more than some other prestigious college but still it's worth
Campus life is amazing here. We have very spacious campus and huge grounds/parks. We have an awesome canteen with variety of delicious items. The classrooms are spacious too
It's a very nice college for commerce and Humanities. The college focuses more on commerce field. The professors are very passionate and amazing. The college has different societies and everyday you will see one or the other society organizing it's society fest. The college doesn't compromise anything when it comes to academics and at the same time it provides a big platform for the Extra-curicular activities for the innovative and talented minds
Currently I am pursuing Ba programme (political science- Sociology) I have chosen this field because it interests me. It's a vast field which builds many innovative and creative ideas in the minds of the students. You get to learn a lot about the contemporary politics the soical structure and order of the Indian state and other nations. At the same time you get the opportunity to learn other subjects like Hindi and Environmental Studies. In short your General knowledge improves a lot
As I am from the humanities department can't really say about it but some of my seniors from the commerce Department feel that the quality of placement are good . Plus the college offers amazing internships for both the departments to improve the resume of it's students
The college campus is very neat and clear. The building, classrooms and laboratories are made very well. Library is having sufficient quantity of books and books are issued for a particular duration of time. The college has a canteen, which is having a variety of food items at nominal cost. All and all this is very good college infrastructurally.
This college is part of Delhi University and takes students admission on the basis of their class 12 percentage. Also, this college is having reservation for Christian students. Classes are held regularly and all the notes are taking up in classes itself.
It is not very easy to get placed from campus. I'm doing B.sc and will further go for higher studies, so I'm not personally interested in placements too. But you have to have a great skills set up to get placed just after B.Sc., but doing some additional course.
As it is a part of Delhi University, the fees is very nominal. You only have to pay around 15 thousand for a academic year. And honestly at the end, all the money has got its value because we complete knowledge of our course.
The best part about this college is that you get to participate in a number of Departmental fest, college cultural fest and several other events throughout the semester. The life here is not at all boring. There are several club activities also. All the faculty and staff members are very supportive and are ready to help in any situation.
Yes. The college is having all the necessary infrastructure facilities and the equipment for the students and the studies. Everything is well maintained, clean and good. Classrooms are not very spacious but can easily accommodate 50 students.
It is necessary to maintain 75% attendance anyhow. Notes are given in the class and every concept is taught in the lecture. Apart for the core subjects there are other optional subjects as well. Over all personality development is also a part of course.
The only drawback that I personally feel is the placement. This is normal graduation degree, and it is difficult to find some some job profile after this. But placement fest is arranged so that we have knowledge about placement.
The annual fee for this college is around 15 thousand, which is not very high. This college is a part of Delhi University. The fee is completely worth it and in this less cost it provides quality education.
The campus life is outstanding and one enjoys every aspect of college life. Annual fest, departmental fest, cultural fest and every fest are held regularly. The location is safe too. I will rate 10/10 to the campus life.
Hi,
I hope you are doing well.
JMC college and Gargi college both are absolutely wonderful in terms of education and infrastructural facilities, they both provide highly qualified lecturers which provide student best of their abilities and also a wonderful and a calm environment for students to study in .
The placement opportunities in the JMC college for BA history, is good & around 40-50% of students get placed in top companies in the placement cell. Highest package offered to a student recently was 3,00,000 lakhs per annum and on average students get placed with a package salary of 2,00,000 lakhs annum.
Top companies like Deloitte, KMPG, etc take part in the placement cell.
Gargi college has also good placements for its BA history batch students, maximum salary offered to a student recently was 5 lakhs per annum and on average students are placed with a package salary around 2-3 lakhs per annum.
Therefore, both these colleges are very similar in terms of education and placement opportunities. Hence, they both are great and you could go ahead with anyone among them.
