JSS Institute of Education B.Ed College situated at Chamarajanagara started in the year 2004 is one of the recognized teacher education institutions situated in Mysuru, Karnataka. This affiliated college approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) provides two-years full time B.Ed programme. Located in a vast area of 6 acres the institute has got 92 students enrolment including faculty & staff of 7 members. Based on these findings, the college invested in quality education provision as articulated in well-developed curriculum, and facilities.

The institute offers a number of amenities to support and develop the learning process of its learners. The well furnished library is having a number of books, national and international journal, magazines, Educational CDs and DVDs. For a practical lessons the college has installed good number of science laboratories with required instruments and substances. The above computer lab helps a student to remain updated on the technological developments in education. A large playground with recreational and other facilities is provided to encourage physical fitness for indoor as well as outdoor games. The college also has large, appropriately lit and ventilated classroom, a hall for events, and a cafeteria for food.

JSS Institute of Education B.Ed College consists of a single course only; the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. This full time course has duration of two years with an approved intake capacity of one hundred students. B.Ed programme aims to equip trainee teachers with competencies needed in classroom teaching at the senior secondary and higher secondary levels. Course work is merged with profound concepts in teaching pedagogy and teaching practices to ensure that successful graduates of the program are fully prepared for their teaching assignments.
