KA SO KA Polytechnic College was established in 2012, Ariyalur, Tamil Nadu, is an affiliated college. This college approved by AICTE offers four diploma programmes in engineering streams, to an aggregate strength of 404 students only. The college currently has 28 members of faculty which are sufficient enough to give the students were a better students teachers ratio. Being an institute for technical education located at K.K.C Kalvi Valagam, Karadikulam, Jayankondam, campus of the institute is apt for technical education though information regarding the size of the campus is not specified.

Being an independent institute, the college is set to accommodate all the basic amenities in order to improve the learning needs of it’s learners. The library has the role of being a source of academic resources which provides practically any material required to back up the curriculum. Every faculty of the college has well stocked and well equipped laboratories to provide practical training to the students of each department. Further, good IT infrastructure has been provided in the college along with computer facilities, so that the students can use current technologies and can build up valuable competencies demanded in present companies.

KA SO KA Polytechnic College thus offers a total of four full time diploma courses all of which take three years to complete. The courses are Civil, Electronics and communication, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical. These programmes include major branches of engineering so that students can follow many areas of their preference. The college recruited 158 students over all courses, which are reasonably adequate in number, provide the college with credible capacity for quality delivery while at the same time helping contain admission and classroom densities. The actual number of graduates may be unknown, however, through imparting technical and vocational skills and knowledge, the college strives towards training student who could attain successful careers in their respective disciplines.

The admission policy of the KA SO KA Polytechnic College is made with ease and openness for the interested learners. Some of the details of the admission procedure are not outlined but, generally, polytechnic colleges rely on academic performance in related courses, and occasionally administer exams. KA SO KA Polytechnic College having approved by AICTE which proves college focus for quality technical education, college has well equipped laboratory and modern, IT infrastructure to enhance the practical knowledge of students. Information concerning the scholarships and the outstanding students are not availed but the emphasis on practical training and skills development in areas of engineering will ensure production of quality engineers in fields of engineering. With the advancement in the institution year after year, it aims at sustaining its credibility for diploma-level technical education in Ariyalur.
