KM Shah Dental College and Hospital, Vadodara Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Vadodara established KM Shah Dental College and Hospital as an active institution par excellence in the field of dental education and health care. The college has a merit-based admission system for students enrolling into their various programs in dentistry.  The admission procedures at KM Shah Dental College and Hospital are in general terms with the above national entrance examinations organized at the national level. For the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course, admissions are based on the score secured in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), whereas postgraduate programs like MDS have their admissions based on set criteria according to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS (NEET MDS).  General admissions prerequisites for BDS include successful completion of the 10+2 curriculum that included Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects.

Application Process

Admission processes differ for each course at KM Shah Dental College and Hospital.

For BDS Program:

1. Appear in NEET examination.
2. Qualify NEET with a score more than the cutoff.
3. Register for the state-level counselling or the institutional counselling process (as applicable).
4. Fill in the application form on the official website (if applicable) for admission into the college.
5. Submission of required documents including NEET score card, 10+2 mark sheets and other necessary certificates.
6. If shortlisted, attend the counselling.
7. If allocated a seat, admission formalities will be completed including payment of fees.

For MDS Programs:

1. Take the NEET MDS examination.
2. Qualify NEET MDS with a score more than the cutoff

Degree wise Admission Process

BDS: In the Bachelor of Dental Surgery program at KM Shah Dental College and Hospital, about 100 seats are available. Admission is now based on the NEET score of candidates, so the total fee for BDS amounts to 1,875,000 Rs. Eligible students must have finished their schooling with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in addition to qualifying in the NEET examination.

MDS: In the Master of Dental Surgery program, KM Shah Dental College and Hospital offers 44 seats in nine specializations. These are the following:

2. MDS Periodontology (6 seats)
3. MDS Oral Pathology and Oral Microbiology (6 seats)
4. MDS Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry (6 seats)
5. MDS Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (5 seats)
6. MDS Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics (5 seats)

8. MDS Oral Medicine and Radiology (3 seats)
9. MDS Public Health and Dentistry (3 seats)

The selection of candidates is based on the NEET MDS examination individual performance. A candidate should have passed his BDS degree from some recognized institution in order to meet eligibility requirements.

Diploma in Dental Mechanics: The college has also started a Diploma in Dental Mechanics which consists of 10 seats. The procedures involved in admissions and eligibility criteria for this program may differ from those adopted for degree courses, and therefore interested candidates should directly contact the college for specific information.
