All the necessary infrastructure facilities equipments are there . Classroom are well equipped with all facilities except the internet connection . Food hygiene should be improved a bit but the quality and quantity is good
Teaching faculty are well trained also they are well experienced in their profession. In mbbs studies is all about practical application of knowledge rather than the theory. It's all depends on individuals skills and professionalism.
Residency Programs: In many countries, MBBS graduates need to complete a residency program to become licensed medical doctors. These programs offer hands-on training in various medical specialties. Government vs. Private Sector: MBBS graduates can work in government hospitals, private hospitals, or set up their private practice. Government jobs often provide job security and benefits. Specialization: Many doctors choose to specialize in a particular field, such as cardiology, surgery, pediatrics
Being a government college compared to their collages it's good value for money
Since campus is at forest no proper connectivity with town not even the water and electricity supply is proper . Being a Madikeri also it's at hilltop nice view and weather
Good
Our college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment required for well provided and comfortable living and education of medical students. All the classrooms have projectors and a few selected have Wifi accessibility. All are used and well maintained.
In my second year of medical education, I would say that the level of teaching in our college is up to par with the expectations of students. Our curriculum has been updated recently to RS4 and we have a new study curriculum.
The quality of placements has been good in our college. A few of our seniors were selected for the medical core team in the Indian army. However, most our seniors after their graduation prepare for postgraduate exams like Neet Pg.
I had paid 59k to the state cet board post allotment of my medical seat through the counselling and about 17k to the college administration at the time of admission to the college. Dorm fee may be added as extra fee.
Our college organized very few activities annually. The college administration is not cooperating with the students and students generally don't like the location of the college since it is in a hilly terrain and far from the main town. Cost of living in here is more and maintaining of basic finances is a challenge for the student. However students can engage in various awareness camps and blood donation camps conducted by the yrc unit.
Yes well infrastuctured and gives all the requirements needed for the students. Well developed facilities and and requirements. The college has got buses and transport facilities for the hospital and good buildings.
I am a MBBS student. Teaching is good not as expected but has a excellent experienced faculty for all doubts.you have all good communicators for the practice in classes and well interactions with faculty.
Placements has a greater value. We have got pg seats and 3 members from college has been passed and got selected as medical officers in army. To have a good placements studying well and interaction is must and should.
For general it costs around 60000 per year and for category it varies.yes we feel worth.Money doesn't matter in all the cases.it varies per year to year but overall maybe in the range of 80000.Quite affordable fees.
College campus is good with a cool weather.good campus life with all the facilities like canteen, sports court etc. You can visit many site seeing which is just beside the college . You will have a wonderful visit if you come.
I am having a good experience studying because of the interaction towards the professors and the activities that we get kind of good experience.you can get better awareness about everything and the learn more about society in which we live in .
In our college the needed things are available. There is a clean and hygiene conditions are available. We are provided with the digital library also in our college and also we are provided with well laboratories.
I am studying my first year MBBS in this college. In our college curriculum has changed from RS 3 to RS 4 .which has given too importance to the clinical aspects which made us to become a good doctors in future.
In our college every students are made their career better by taking PG ,army doctor, etc. At our internship we are provided with good stay fund.we are also has been said to give a rural service with above thirty five thousand of salary.we can also put a clinic of our own.
In our college we have to pay about one lakh twenty-five thousand including hostel and mess fees for a year.the education we are getting was upto the worth for the money we have paid.because in other private colleges we have to pay more than ten lakhs.
In our college campus is situated in a Kodagu which is a coolest place.it has more tourist places to see in this place. It has best features.also there is a kannada Sangha ,RSS, talent shows and other fests are provided in our college.
The infrastructure, resources, and amenities required are all present at our college. Approximately 200 pupils can fit in the classrooms, which have projectors. Large study room in the library. Internet access is available, and all the amenities are used and maintained current. The facilities are spotless and the food offered in the dorms is great and tasty.
The teaching at my college is first-rate as I complete my second year of MBBS courses. The University of RGUHS has changed its requirements, so our curriculum has been revised to reflect these changes and include some new advancements. A year-long internship is part of our academic program's preparation for the workforce.
Most of our graduates prefer to take PG examinations like NEET PG, INI-CET, and UPSC CMS and continue their study for these exams in order to find employment. Three of our seniors, however, were chosen for the Indian Army to join in the core Medical corps team.
After acquiring my medical seat through counselling, I paid the KEA board roughly 59k, and when I was admitted as a student, I paid the college administration approximately 17k in tuition. Depending on the category, annual student housing prices might range from 40 to 45k.
Among the yearly activities that students can participate in are College Fest, Kannada Rajyotsava, and Ganesh Chaturthi. Additionally, the college's YRC unit hosts blood donation drives and awareness campaigns. On the outskirts of the main town, the college is situated in a difficult hilly terrain.
I am proud to be a student of Kodagu Institute of medical college established in Karnataka and one of the best growing medical colleges in Karnataka. It has a great infrastructure. There is a large anatomy dissection hall with 5 cadavers. One cadaver is allotted to 30 students. There is a well maintained and specific lab for all first year subjects. There is a large library with enough books to read. It is located in one of best places in Karnataka i.e Madikeri, which is called the Scotland o
Being one of the new medical colleges in the state, the academics is up to the mark. You'll find stiff competition among your batchmates which will actually push you to improve your ownself. Seniors are very supportive and are always ready to clear your doubts. However, the lectures can be a bit monotonous with many teachers simply reading out from the PPT with no intention to make the topics interesting (again a common trait in every medical college in the country) , though some lecturers try th
Placements in MBBS do not exist as such, however there is one year of compulsory internship under different postings in the hospital once your course is over. The stipend offered is Rs.30,000 per month. It is a rotation-based internship where students work under different departments for different months
I have entered the college through GM seat , so it cost me around 1 lakh excluding some other personal expenses. If you are from any other category, scholarship is also available. Though the total money looks more , but compared to some private colleges, it's cheap.
Our campus is situated on a hill top which has one of the best views in the city. Our campus contains 7 buildings including the hostels. There is a canteen also. There are inter batch competitions conducted by the school Union and the students are responsible for conducting such function with the permission of college. So many events are conducted in the college ever year. This includes the annual intercollegeate fest, annual sports meet, farewell, ganeshotsava, magazine release, dasara programs, e

As our medical College is newly started therefore the college infrastructure is good. Both classes and labs have well equipped instruments. Lab equipments are new ones and are also handy. Campus is well cleaned in our medical College.
The quality of teaching here in this medical College is really good. Professors teach well to make our concepts clear. The teaching is mainly done through PPT(power-points) although few professors stick to marker&white board . This is medical college, you have to learn by yourself. This is what you will hear from all medical colleges in India. Some department HOD and their classes would be interesting and enjoyable
The placements here are descent. Placements are fine at Medical College. Athough the internships are a bit better than placements in the college And most of the students even focus on cracking UPSC exams. However, the students get placed on their own being passed out by this college; which tells the reputation of the college to be really good
During the admission we had to pay 59850 University fees and 17000 as college fees Government medical colleges have less fees as compared to any private colleges. Personally I feel it's worth for the money paid.
There is not much to mention about the campus in this medical College. But the only astonishing thing here is the beautiful scenery. The campus is Welly cleaned and maintained by our seniors. Well one major drawback about the campus is that there is no playground.
Overall the college is good and Provides you with a lot of options related to academics.More than all these , this college provides something interesting for all kind of students , the studious type, the enjoying type , the sports type or any.
Infrastructure is good as everything which is needed is present here. All the basic requirements are fulfilled by college. There is some problems in the room . But allover it's a better college from the infrastructure point of view.
As we are studying MBBS in the college and the quality of teaching is better than my expectations. Every lecture is going with the time table. All the updates in the curriculum which are made by this year are followed by college.
Placements are decent. Three of our graduates bagged a PG seat in core medical corps and most of them have made it through the tough Pg exam. Many have bagged seat through NEET PG, INI CET and Post Graduate Medical Entrance Exams
As I was wishing for a government mbbs college with a decent fees which doesn't affect my family's financial status and this college doesn't disappoints me. My college fees is 77,800 as tuition fees and 22000 as hostel and mess fees.
Campus is also good as the wheather here is so pleasant . All seniors are friendly with us . The greenary all over here gives me good vibes. Allover the campus is quite good and doesn't disappoints us. As it is little far from city which is a drawback of the campus.
As compare to other mbbs college this college is far better from all point of views . As there is few problems which could be ignored. When we see allover this college is quite good and I wish it wouldn't disappoints us.
The college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment required for the professional courses it's providing like libraries, laboratories, and a well maintained classrooms and clean and hygienic food
I'm currently studying MBBS course in this college as it's is my dream to perceive in my life and it's providing outstanding teaching stuffs and student friendly environment , I'm doing great at it and taking a big leap in life
The college provide good placement opportunities,as it supports in all type of exams like neet PG , UPSC, USMLE and so on . Recently three of our graduates bagged a PG seats in core medical corps and so on.
As it's a government college , it's affordable for everyone and I feel it's worth the money, as I'm sure we gonna earn it back at the end of the course ( hoping so) . I'm paying around sixty thousand rupees annually .
Campus Life at Kodagu is quite awesome, it's surrounded with full of greenary, Seniors are quite friendly and helping in all possible ways for our well being, and wheather around here is pleasant and chillin , it's very safe around here since it's in the uphill , and I'm all total pleased with the college.
It's pretty awesome yet . Waiting to see more of it .
Infrastructure is quite good as it provides all the necessary requirements needed for an on going mbbs government college. The Living Spaces are not too good, not bad as well, they're good enough to have a place to rest and all your work. Water Supply is available most of the times and Food is better than i expected that I would get at a hostel.
As 1st Year of MBBS is the base of the next three years, here the emphasis laid on academics is quite good. Weekly assessments, Frequent tests, Strict Evaluation, Spotters in Dissection keep the the students on their toes and make us study and this in return lessens the burden of studying all the long books later on. The Teaching here is quite good even though it is fast paced. Sufficient time is given to cover up the topics done in the classes. Overall the Academics here is comparatively better.
Placements are decent. Three of our graduates bagged a PG seat in core medical corps and most of them have made it through the tough PG exam after a year of drop or so. Many have bagged their seats through INI CET,NEET PG,USMLE..
As I bagged a government seat in a government college , The price for the seat is worth it. The hostel facilities are good, teaching is good and the college infrastructure is good enough as well,so I feel it is worth the money. For the seat we paid ₹59,700 at KEA centre as hostel fees and ₹22000 more for the hostel and mess fess
Campus Life is decent. Seniors help us with our problems regarding studies, books and all the other stuff. If we need further assistance we can contact the staff who are friendly and easier to approach. Thanks to my batchmates, the campus Life is quite good and I am enjoying it.
Hello Aspirant,
I hope you are doing well.
The college has a Gym facility for the students. The college has a library facility for all students. The college has sports facilities for all students. Extracurricular activities are also valued at this institution. Football, badminton, volleyball, and kabaddi are some of the sports that are played here. Aside from that, any cultural event includes skits, songs, and dance rehearsals. The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminar.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck
Hello,
You forgot to mention the college name in your question for me to explain further. But as I see in your tag it is Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS).
https://www.kimskodagu.kar.nic.in
Hope this helps!!
Adithya, you haven't mentioned the Category you belong to. Nevertheless, in 2019 under State Quota, the cut offs for Kodagu Institute of Health Sciences under various Categories have been as follows:
General Category:454
OBC:426
SC: 352
ST: 432
Now this is 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. So for a seat in this College in 2020, you will need to score atleast 50 marks more than those mentioned against your Category. With NEET being postponed for more than 4 months, Candidates would have been preparing well and so the Cut offs might increase. And due to the Pandemic, Candidates might also opt for Colleges that are nearby which also might see a rise in the cut offs. And if you are preparing for NEET, you may as well try our NEET Knockout package: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/ . And because you have 40 more days to prepare for NEET, you may as well use this opportunity.
