College infrastructure is I can say good . The new building has also formed and the infrastructure is nice as compared to other DU colleges . Only some parts need renovation otherwise it has a good infrastructure
For Academics I would say the teachers are very good and supportive. The way we get to learn everything here is impressive. Although some teachers are annoying but just some of them they just focus on completing the syllabus
I would say placement is not good at all. There are very few chances of you get placed through the campus placements. You have to look yourself for internships and placements. You can't rely on college
Lakshmibai College, established in 1965 and affiliated with the University of Delhi, offers a comprehensive infrastructure to support its academic and extracurricular programs. The campus features multiple buildings, including the modern Vishwakarma Building, which houses advanced laboratories and classrooms. A new building is also nearing completion, expected to provide additional facilities.
Lakshmibai College, affiliated with the University of Delhi, offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Undergraduate courses include B.A. (Hons.) in English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Philosophy, and Sanskrit; B.Com. (Hons.); and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Mathematics and Home Science. The college also provides B.A. Programme combinations such as Political Science and History, Economics and Mathematics, and Philosophy and Psychology. Postgraduate offerings include M.A. in Political Science and Sanskrit. Additionally, the college offers certificate and diploma courses in subjects like Advertising, Sales Promotion, and Sales Management; Apparel Design and Construction; and Computer Applications.
Lakshmibai College's placement cell actively facilitates student employment opportunities. In the 2022-2023 academic year, 33 undergraduate students secured positions with a median salary of ₹3.60 lakh per annum. Top recruiters include Wipro, Genpact, Tata Power, TresVista, and Chegg.
Lakshmibai College, part of Delhi University, offers a decent infrastructure that meets the basic needs of students but still has room for improvement. The campus is spacious with a good amount of greenery, providing a pleasant environment for studying. The classrooms are well-lit and equipped with projectors in many cases, but some lack proper ventilation and modern furniture. The library is well-stocked with a variety of books, journals, and e-resources, making it a great spot for students looking for academic support. The college also has computer labs with functional systems, though they could benefit from upgrades. Wi-Fi is available on campus, but connectivity issues are common. When it comes to sports, Lakshmibai College stands out with a strong focus on athletics. The playgrounds and sports facilities are well-maintained, and students actively participate in sports like basketball, badminton, and yoga. There’s also a gymnasium, which is a plus for fitness-conscious students. The canteen offers affordable food, but the menu variety is limited. Hygiene is decent, but there’s always room for better maintenance. The washrooms are clean but could use more frequent upkeep. Overall, the infrastructure is satisfactory for an average student experience, but modernizing classrooms, improving digital facilities, and maintaining common areas better would make a big difference. If you prioritize academics and a healthy sports culture over luxury, Lakshmibai College serves its purpose well.
Lakshmibai College, a constituent of Delhi University, offers a commendable academic environment enriched by a dedicated and experienced faculty. Students across various disciplines, including Philosophy, Computer Science, and Economics, have praised the faculty's commitment to teaching and their approachable nature. The professors not only cover the prescribed syllabus but also engage students in discussions that connect theoretical concepts to real-world applications, fostering critical thinking and a deeper understanding of the subjects. The college provides a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with admission primarily based on CUET scores. For instance, the cutoff for certain courses ranges between 550 to 650. Students have expressed satisfaction with the curriculum, noting that it offers a comprehensive overview of their respective fields and encourages exploration of various sub-disciplines. The inclusion of workshops, seminars, and departmental events further enhances the learning experience by providing practical exposure and opportunities for personal growth. While the academic framework is robust, some students have pointed out areas for improvement. The placement cell, known as 'Wings,' has been described as less active in recent years. However, efforts are underway to revitalize it through collaborations with NGOs and companies to secure internships and job opportunities for students. Additionally, the college's infrastructure, characterized by a blend of traditional and modern facilities, has received mixed reviews. While the campus is spacious and houses various amenities, concerns have been raised regarding the maintenance of washrooms and the quality of drinking water facilities. In summary, Lakshmibai College offers a nurturing academic atmosphere with a strong faculty and a curriculum designed to promote holistic development. Addressing the highlighted infrastructural and placement-related challenges could further enhance the overall student experience.
Lakshmibai College, a constituent of Delhi University, offers placement opportunities through its dedicated placement cell. The effectiveness of these placements varies across departments and individual experiences. For instance, a student from the B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics program reported that approximately 40% of students secured internships with companies like Deloitte, with salary packages ranging from ₹3 LPA to ₹10 LPA. Similarly, a B.Com. student noted that the highest package offered was around ₹10 LPA, with top recruiters including EY, Chegg, and Tata Power. However, some students have expressed concerns about the placement support. A B.A. (Hons.) Economics graduate mentioned a lack of internship or placement assistance, highlighting the need for proactive efforts from students to secure opportunities. Another student from the B.A. (Hons.) Psychology program pointed out that no companies visited for recruiting psychology graduates, necessitating further studies for better job prospects. Statistically, in the 2021-22 academic year, out of 1,037 graduating students, 55 were placed with a median salary of ₹3.5 LPA, while 202 opted for higher studies. In summary, while Lakshmibai College facilitates placement opportunities, the outcomes depend significantly on the student's course and proactive engagement. Students aiming for specific career paths may need to seek additional internships and qualifications to enhance their employability.
Our college infrastructure is very good ....the area , buildings ,ground , lawns every area is well maintained and the rooms are also very big but we are having any auditorium but a lalit kala area for such event and a kala manch stage too.
We have a good library and very good academics too, teachers are very responsible about completing their syllabus but sometimes they are not too and some teachers are even not responsible and not supportive too .
I don't think so they provide any kind of placements to BA students, and I m not aware about any other department, but yes we have a placement cell that provides placement but I don't have that much knowledge for the same.
Yes that's also okay.....fees is reasonable and the facilities according to that is good.
Our campus is good soo campus life is also good .
Nothing much but yes one can opt for this college instead of skipping admission in university and can look for better too.
Lakshmibai College has decent infrastructure with well-maintained classrooms, a good library, and functional labs. Sports facilities and the canteen could improve. Overall, it's satisfactory. 7/10.
Lakshmibai College offers quality academics with experienced faculty, a good library, and regular seminars. Practical exposure and placements could improve. Overall, it provides a strong learning environment. 8/10
Lakshmibai College's placement opportunities are moderate, with some companies offering roles mainly in commerce and humanities. More industry tie-ups are needed for better placements. Overall, 6.5/10.
The college infrastructure is good and the classrooms and lecture halls have adequate resources, some could benefit from modernisation to better meet the technological needs of student and faculty. Overall it is average.
The academics of my college is quite nice and the teachers are very helpful. The resources provided are very good and easy to understand which makes it easier for us to study. Overall the academics of my college is good.
The college placement process is quite frustrating and because the college doesn't provide any type if placement due to which students suffers in finding jobs. Even with a solid academic curriculum , there is a week connection between college and the industry resulting in 0 placement.
It’s good it includes library gardens and stage for events but ya it lacks auditorium WiFi networks and classes are sufficient and good but it would be better if there were smart classrooms Baki toh it’s good
It’s very academic oriented and teachers actually take attendance tests and internals very seriously …/classes are taken regularly if attendance is short even remedial classes are taken before exams so overall it’s good
No placement cell is not at all active and I haven’t heard of any senior getting placed through campus so it really requires improvement for which teachers need to look after it and seminars should be conducted to make us job ready
Infra is decent and better than most of the off campus colleges … sufficient classes , a library labs , garden a stage for event but ya it lacks auditorium and WiFi networks it would be better if there are smart screens in the classes
Classes are taken regularly , faculty is good, very academic oriented , quality of teaching is actually good , internals test and attendance is taken seriously… I don’t think so if it makes us job ready because we need to acquire some other skills for that
Nah placement cell is not at all active I haven’t heard of girls getting placed through campus and that really requires improvement In other colleges placements cells are active but not in ours so ya
DU is known for its cheap cost and great exposure whether it comes to event seminars brand name or the fests … fees per sem of every college ranges between 10k to 20 k which makes it really cost effective and give exposure to all kinds of classes in india
Nah it doesn’t have that campus life because it’s like away from the other colleges and moreover a girls college so we all lack campus life but overall it’s a good college
The college infrastructure id gernerally average, with several areas needing improvement m. The campus facilities including washroom and common areas are well maintained but could ise more frequent cleaning and upgrades
The academic of college is quite nice. The teachers are cooperative and helps every time when needed. The way of teaching is nice and the management is also quite good. Overall the academics of the college is nice
The college placement services are nearly non existent, leaving students with limited options for finding employment after earning their degree. The institutions needs to prioritize building stronger relationship with industry partners, enhancing placement supports, and creating more opportunities for student internship and job placement.
College's infrastructure is okay okay its not soo good but not soo bad things lacks there like sanitation in washrooms and proper drinking water facilities.... But overall all the things can be found there.
Teachers are involved in studies and they really do their best to have a proper attentive classes. Library is also there with all kinds of books and different genre available to us we can even take books from book banks...
Overall placements are good in this college you just need to work on your skills and qualities to attract the best opportunity for yourself.... Placement cell is not very active so everything depends upon yourself.
Like for value of money this College is pretty good you can have great experiences there and can make good connections. Crowd of the college is non toxic and no raggings can be seen there. Seniors are very cooperative As well.
Campus life is full of surprises you can find yourself admits of sudden chaos as well as sudden relief. Numbers of seminar and ted talks show takes place in the college every other day.
Hey aspirant, hope you are doing well!
Lakshmibai college is a nice college. It's not so famous amongst the other du colleges but it is good. The infrastructure is nice & the faculty is amazing. It's not so reputed but the teachers are really cooperative. The College offers a really big library & plethora of books to choose from. The dramatics society Navrangg is quite famous for its endeavours. The other departmental societies are also nice. At the end of the day your course choice should matter more than your college choice. Delhi University is a really precious University and if you are getting admission into your favourite course, then the choice of college shouldn't matter much.
Hope it helps you! All the best for your future endeavours!
