Mahatma Gandhi Mission's Institute of Biosciences and Technology, Aurangabad, is a constituent college of MGM University, which is renowned for its excellence in biosciences and technology education. The institute offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various disciplines. MGMIBT welcomes diversification of the student body in its classes. Separate hostel rooms for boys and girls are offered so that a suitable environment for every student can be provided. For NRI students, air-conditioned rooms are also specially made available in the institute.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Sc Programs: MGMIBT offers B.Sc (Hons) programs in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, and Food Technology and Processing. Each program has 60 seats, except for Food Technology and Processing, which has 40 seats. Admission is likely based on 10+2 marks and possibly a college-specific entrance test or counseling process.

B.Tech Programs: The institute offers B.Tech in Biotechnology (30 seats), Food Processing Technology (40 seats), and Biomedical Engineering (30 seats). Admission to these programs may consider JEE scores or a state-level engineering entrance exam, followed by a counseling process.

M.Sc Programs: MGMIBT offers M.Sc programs in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Plant Biotechnology, Plant Breeding and Molecular Genetics, Industrial Microbiology, Food Technology, and Microbiology. Every program has 20 students admitted. Admission is usually based on the marks scored by the candidate in his bachelor's degree, and sometimes a entrance test and/or interview.
