15 MIT faculty members are among top 2% global researcher for outstanding career and single year contribution.
On Oct 21, 2024 Pradeep Sinha, CEO of Inditech and MIT alumnus, inaugurates Tech Tatva 2024 at MIT Manipal.
The infrastructure of our college is world-class. Our college provides a Wi-Fi facility with 60 GB per month. Our college provides the latest equipment in labs, and there are 2 lab assistants to help us. Food served in the food court, and it is placed near to the hostel blocks. There is a Kasturba Medical Hospital near the college which provides a free checkup for students and life insurance coverage. There is a library of 2 storied building.
Teachers in our college are well-qualified and helpful. Some teachers are struggling to teach us. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. Teachers are PhD holders from different institutes like IITs, IIIT and NITS. Their minimum qualification is M.Tech, so there are no issues regarding teaching. They give extra care for students studies.
About 75% of the students from our course got placed. Our college provides placements in branches like computer science, IT, banking, sales industry and mechanical. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 7.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Maruti, Honda, Mercedes, TCS, Bell Textron, ZS, etc., visit our campus for placements.
The food served in the canteen is really good, and you don't feel like you are staying in the hostel and eating mess food. Hostels are really good, especially 14, 15, 16 and 17 blocks for boys. You will get hostel based on your CGPA from 2nd year onwards. For mess, I will recommend Annapoorna mess for 2nd-year students.
The teachers are as what you would expect from an engineering college. Some are really great, while some are really average. The bonus of learning is on the student, as is in any other engineering college, and you need to work hard. Can always approach a teacher for help if required.
Every student, especially from CS, IT and ECE branch gets placed with an average salary package of 3 LPA-5 LPA. Placements are not good for other branches. If you know coding, you can easily get a placement. I suggest you to try to learn coding from 2nd or 3rd year onwards if you want a good salary package.
The college has amazing infrastructure. Almost places are air conditioned with the exception of few labs for exhaust purposes. There are structures made in amazing architectural style, especially the student plaza which is a student hangout area. Campus is wifi-enabled, low speed. Food is decently good. A la carte facilities also available in messes. Hostel cleanliness is maintained, with presence of private baths. Sports facilities are average with the exception Marena which is world class.
The quality of teaching is decent. But college does provide free coursera certification which is amazing and also the .edu email ID which can access a lot of student benefits. The curriculum is updated every two years, but in terms of keeping in track with the latest trend, leaves much to desire. The student clubs here are beneficial for placement preparation as the student culture is very strong with people in top companies and universities giving recommendations.
The placements are decent with computer science branches usually having the highest averages. Not sure about other branches but people do prefer to go abroad and pursue masters. Computer science usually has around 100% placement with 10+ lpa ctc as median.
The college surely is costly, but it does provide enough benefits to compensate for it. The course cost per year is around 3-4 lakhs but does increase successive years. They provide a fee structure for 4 years before hand. Considering the population is lower than other private colleges, amazing infrastructure with decent academics and amazing alumni network, I do feel the college fulfills on the promises.
Manipal has one of the best campus lives possible in any Indian college. It has a strict no ragging culture plus the seniors also don't care about ragging since they are better than that. The campus green, on a hill with amazing views. The beaches are also quite close with a 10 mins bus ride. There are also hills around the area which makes a fun trekking place. Modern in many aspects with all major food chains available and malls. The downside are clubs being present which might be distractive.
Overall I would say if you do have the financial stability, this college is an amazing place as you meet people from all parts of India and abroad. It has a strong alumni network, above average hostel and mess compared to rest of Indian engineering colleges. The academic scenario is same all over India with students mostly relying on self-study to learn things, but you get ample resources and seniors support to learn in the college.
my college has most of the necessary infrastructure needed for all the basic facilities labs are well maintained and equipped. Adequate sports facilities are available and libraries are up to date, all campus wifi is also available.
I am studying computer science engineering in this college because this sector is flourishing currently and my college provides the necessary expertise that are required in the industry and our curriculum is up to those standards.
The on campus placements provided by our college gives the students ample opportunities to secure their first step into the industry. About 85% students get placed with the highest package of 18 lpa and average package of 5 lpa.
The course costs about 290000 per annum . I do feel that this course is value for money because the additional training and industrial internship program that the college provides helps students get on par with many better and higher demanding colleges.
My college campus is really big and well kept, where cleanliness and maintenance of the campus are the top priorities . Students are allowed encouraged ,and provided with many co curricular activities.
Lastly I'd like to say if you want good college life and a decent placement in your hands after having a 4 years full of learning and achievement come to manipal ,and live your desire.
Infrastructure is really good as compared other colleges. It has very nature friendly campus and wifi facilities is average , sports centre and fields are good . Overall infrastructure wise it is a really great college and worth the fees.
Quality of education here is good as compared to normal colleges. The teacher are very supportive except a few.The teacher are very professional in thier field and a good mentor if you waana explore more in that particular field.
The quality of placement entirely depend on your skill set but company companies do come here if you have good grades and skill set you will definitely get a good placement . Placement for smaller branches are not as good .
Overall a good college and worth the investment.
Campus life is fun here at manipal , hanging out with friends at student plaza etc are great.
MIT Manipal is an institute of eminence. College provides holistic development of the student both academically and in extracurricular activities. It provides a very good environment to study. World-class infrastructure is there with multi stored library, best hostel-like hostels, sports facility is also excellent. Fees is at a high point. admission is through MET exam usually held in April. Apart from academics lots of student projects and clubs are there. Watched youtube videos, read on quora,
7/10 I had my interest in engineering and very colleges offer this course and among then mit was the best option. I am new to the college so currently do not have this information. Most of the faculty holds doctoral degrees and are pretty good. Some teachers teach on whiteboard rest through ppt. Exams are not that hard if studied properly.
In the 6th semester, students are eligible for placements. Over 250 companies visited and almost 65% of students were placed. The highest package was about 43 lpa and lowest was 3.3 lpa and avg as 7.5 lpa. some companies that came were amazon, hp, dell, bosch, Maruti, L and T, Microsoft, etc My plan is to do masters.
Fess is increased 10% for every batch and total fees for my batch is 16 lakhs and with the hostel, the minimum is 22 lakhs. There are various scholarships such as SAGES, Scholarships for children of alumni, board topper scholarship, freeship, Merit t scholarship for Konkani speaking, and scholarships based on financial aid.
The annual fest is Revels and the technical fest is techthatva. The annual fest is held in march and technical in October. Almost all books necessary for engineering are there with a large collection of journals. Classrooms have centralized ac with very good furniture, projector, and aboard Almost all sports activities are present from indoor sports to outdoor sports. MAHE also has a world-class MARENA which is a 6-floor indoor sports complex. Clubs for all activities are there such as NGO, poet
Yes about hostel all necessary facilities are provided such as a table, chair, bed, almirah and attached bathroom is also there. Hostel cost varies for ac room and option for single or double occupancy is there. Meal quality is good with north and south Indian food. The menu is changed for every week and is provided with 4 times meal. The registration process is completely online but a bit expensive
Yes our college had extraordinary infrastructure with sport centres like marina. The living spaces are clean and food is hygienic. The college environment is excellent with lots of opportunities to evolve.
The curriculum is upto the market standards necessary for a job at this point of time. The curriculum is update every four years keeping the job requirements in the mind. This lays down opportunities for more companies to visit for placements.
It has 100% placements for branches like CS and IT. The average salary depends on the profile of the job offered. The college is really supportive in terms of placements opportunities as it does it’s best.
3.5lpa. Dint feel like it was worth the amount paid. Could have been way less. Even though the ROI is pretty high the cost per year dint feel worth it with the courses. They could have charged a slightly less amount.
Best experience any youth can get in life it helps every individual evolve in every aspect tending to their personality be it social butterfly or an introvert. The location is very beautiful as you fall in love the first time you visit the place. It is surrounded my beaches and all provides the opportunity of hills in less than an hour away.
Would highly recommend anyone who is thinking of pursuing bachelors to do it from here. It’s experience of a life time. It has personally ingrained itself as a part of me. I would anything to relive that experience one more time.
Amazing venue for a college to be set up, it was on top of a hilltop, nature-friendly environment with lots of greenery and trees. Academic blocks with state of the art infrastructure. Wi-fi was in partnership with regional giant ION. 24 hours of high speed around 2KBPS wifi. Hostels were equipped with amazing internet, bed, geysers, laundry system. The
Experience teachers, with good industry exposure, easy to reach out to, they were good with communication and made sure they could support each and every student with their ability to tackle people coming from different academic exposure.
Excellent placements. The average salary offered was 7.2 LPA. 75 percentage of the students were placed. The college has a placement and alumni relations team intact. They are known to place students in the profiles of their choice. Associate director of Industrial Liason heads the placement department and actively contacts the industrial experts. The highest package offered was 22 LPA and the minimum being 3 LPA. Top companies which come for placements are as follows: Microsoft, Samsung.
It cost 4 Lakh rupees annually, worth it for the lab and workshop equipment. They had amazing exposure to world-class practical approach to studying.
One of the best campuses in the country and with friends is one of the most happening student campuses.
MIT Manipal has all facilities and equipment and everything is up to the mark. Classrooms are clean with good and comfortable seats and they are also covered with wi-fi facilities. Labs and libraries are very spacious and they are regularly cleaned. Sports facilities are available with college hosting fests for it. Living spaces are clean and food is hygienic. College also provides hostel accommodation to outside students.
I studied B. Tech. in Computer Science. The quality of teaching is decent enough. Teachers are well-qualified and experienced. They have good knowledge of their subject. The curriculum is also good and updated and makes people job-ready and that's why I got on-campus placement at Wipro.
For computer science, placements are good with almost everyone getting placed. Highest package offered at my time was around 24 lakhs and average package offered was around 5-6 lakhs. Placement process was easy and college provided full support.
I paid 3 lakhs per year and it was worth it as I got placed at Wipro at a good package.
Campus life is good here. Students can engage in lots of activities. It has almost everything from good staff members to top facilities.
College has a wide variety of facilities, quenching each need. Classrooms are well furnished and fully air-conditioned. There are several libraries for different purposes filled with most academic books you would need. The hostels have a rather solid WiFi that is a part of the package.
Quality of education is good as Manipal promotes learning as a multi-dimensional tool. It isnt perfect as the syllabus is rather outdated and the facult quality varies, but overall it is more than competent.
I have not appeared for placements yet myself, but Manipal has a good history of placements, with percentage reaching up to 100 for core branches. Even if the packages arent too lucrative, Manipal provides a platform for you to launch unto Masters.
Bit on the expensive side, definitely a privilege.
The best campus life one could imagine. Manipal changes you in the most beautiful way imaginable.
Would recommend if you have the resources for it
Both Shiv Nadar University (SNU) and MIT Manipal are excellent for Computer Science (CS), but they cater to different preferences. SNU Noida offers a strong research focus, modern facilities, and an interdisciplinary approach. It’s better if you aim for innovation and projects. MIT Manipal is well-established with strong industry connections, experienced faculty, and better placement opportunities in core CS fields. If you value legacy and placements, choose MIT. For research and innovation, SNU is preferable. Your priorities decide the fit.
