MIET Jammu Facilities

Model Institute of Engineering and Technology Jammu offers a vast range of facilities to the students. MIET, Jammu facilities include separate hostels that are provided with 24-hour. LAN connectivity through the main server of the academic block. The MIET, Jammu library is well stocked with medical books, reference books and textbooks, novels, and many more to read.

The campus has a well-structured infrastructure and classrooms with well-equipped audio-visual aids. MIET Jammu cafeteria serves nutritious meals in the cafeteria. In Addition to these, MIET Jammu boasts a well-stocked library that serves as a knowledge resource for students. The institute also provides other facilities like transport, high-speed Wi-Fi Internet, and a gym.

Library
The institution maintains a well-equipped and fully automated library with over 35,000 books from reputed publishers. The library has a rich collection of online resources. It subscribes to the IEEEXplore Digital Library, Springer, EBSCOHost and Tata-McGrawHill Engineering reference which provide access to over 4000 international journals. Besides this, a large number of print journals, magazines, newspapers, periodicals, encyclopedia, reference books and research publications are procured to keep the readers abreast with the latest knowledge in their domains.
Sports
MIET, Jammu has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities for the students. Games like chess, carrom, badminton and many more.
Cafeteria
MIET, Jammu has a nice canteen facility for staff and faculty.
Auditorium
The college has an Auditorium for all the special events or workshops.
Medical/Hospital
The college has an associated hospital facility. The MIET, Jammu medical facilities include a health centre with a first aid facility for the students.
I.T Infrastructure
MIET offers state-of-the-art computing facilities through specialized computer labs housing over 500 networked computers. Several high-end servers cater to the computing requirements of both the staff and the students. The entire MIET campus is wi-fi enabled with seamless connectivity. Specialized laboratories include the IBM Software Center of Excellence, Mitsubishi Industry 4.0 Lab, Bentley BIM Advancement Lab, Mobile Computing Lab, UIPath RPA Lab, Center for Software Development, Advanced Database Systems Lab and the Center for Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Laboratories
MIET has a modern laboratory setup in all disciplines as per prescribed norms and standards. An entire Laboratory Block houses specific laboratories catering to the Electronics and Communication and Electrical Engineering. The Workshop spread over 650 sq.m. houses different shops equipped with modern machines and tools to provide students an introduction to various manufacturing and fabrication processes enabling them to undertake real-world projects.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is good in this college. The hostel facility is not available in this college. Students should get a PG for their living purpose. Classrooms are good and Wi-Fi is enabled. It also has some sports facilities like cricket nets, table tennis, and a basketball court.

This college is pretty good in terms of infrastructure but not as good in comparison of other colleges out of state, computer labs are not that good but some computer's are pretty good at the same time, everything is pretty average

I am getting CS in MIET Jammu through JKCET can I get CS in GCET Jammu in second round of counseling. My rank is 1094?

Hello,

To get an secure admission in GCET Jammu, One must have a rank below 700. If any candidate want to join a branch of their own choice then rank should be below 200. Your rank is a way high to get CSE. You may get an admission in the college but in CSE branch the chances are low. If you want to study CSE then go for MIET where you are aleady secured.

MIET is also a good college with good placement increasing every year.

Hello aspirant. With this rank in JKCET exam you can get admission in good colleges of Jammu. You can get admission in mostly Civil or Electrical branch in Modern Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) Jammu. Also apply for some top colleges in your state for seat in better college.
