Our college is equipped with all the basic necessary equipment that is required for a UG student. It has a library with availability of large number of books of every author and many medical magazines. The quality of sports is poor however we students have the liberty to organise and do conduct a few competitions from time to time. The hostel is well equipped and comes with a TV and AC. The laundry service is very good and the message food is bearable. The living space and the food is quite hygienic and they clean the hostel rooms every other day.
I'm studying MBBS, 3rd year. I have always been fascinated by the way the human body works and this has motivated me to join this course to gain as much knowledge as possible on the subject. On the way of my journey I also felt the satisfaction in helping people and doing good to them. The teachers are very well educated, most of them being graduates from Bangalore medical college which is one of the best colleges in Bangalore. The information delivery and teaching methods are top notch. And they are always around to clarify any doubts that you might have and are very approachable. Our curriculum is updated as per the NMC guidlines which is compulsorily followed by the teaching staff to maintain uniformity.
Medical colleges as such don't have placements. But once you are an MBBS graduate, you can apply for a job as a tutor in the same college in any department. The pay is pretty good. The college is very supportive to this.
The college fee is standardized and is seperate for a government seat, a private seat and management seat depending on your NEET score. However, there are a lot of extra expenses that one has to bear which some people might find unnecessary and unrealisticly expensive.
Since our college is located outside the bangalore city, there is not much to do here and nowhere to go on the weekends so campus life can get a little dull and boring. It is surrounded by a village so going off campus at night might be a little dangerous.
Overall this college is a good place to finish your UG. At the end of the day, it's the students efforts and motivation that help you get through the day and bring you closer to achieving your goals.
Architecture is good. Campus is relatively small but is being renovated to be in par with the latest infrastructures. Hostel rooms are spacious, well ventilated and beautifully maintained. Luxurious hostel experience. Campus is filled with lush greenery. All facilities are well provided and maintained.
Amazing, well knowledgeable faculty. Faculties of initial couple of years are nourishing and caring. All RGUHS and NMc guidelines are followed. Patient inflow is not that great and varies from department to department. Variety in patients may not be seen though basic UG needs are fulfilled. As the years progress, faculty may not seem as supportive, becomes more self directed. You need to have your own interest and intiative taking nature.
Medical colleges do not provide placements as such. Nevertheless there is a good scope to join the college as a tutor in any department, once you're done with your internship. Pay is good for tutors considering they're fresh out of the course. Interns are paid stipend on monthly basis
Standard fees structure followed as per KEA guidelines for government, private and management quota seats respectively. Apart from that, miscellaneous fees (involving record books, log books, uniforms, ID cards, exam fees etc) seems to be relatively expensive.
Not much of GenZ college facilities. No much focus on extracurricular activities. There is one fest per year with sports, culturals etc for which preparation goes on for a month and is celebrated with such pomp, with staff, students, administrative officials and everyone participating. Staffs are very helpful and approachable. Mentors are alloted as per NMC guidelines. Becomes more self intiative based
Reasonably good college for UG (as basic cases required for UG course are present, even if only a few). Good for academics. Not great on extracurriculars. Its a fun experience if you've good companions. Medicine is a self directed course, if you're interested you'll study, no matter what or where.
