Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre (NCERC), Thrissur, is an institution offering numerous undergraduate and postgraduate educational programs in engineering and management. The admission procedure of NCERC aims at selecting the most talented and deserving candidates through various all-India and state-level entrance examinations. The admission of the students is through a systematic way that abides by guidelines by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and other regulatory agencies. The JEE Main or KEAM scores are by far the most important for admission to the B.Tech programs, which are undergraduate programs. National-level and state-level entrance examinations are taken into consideration for B.Tech getting admission usually around January starting with JEE Main application process and around the month of August-September when the academic year starts.
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores are taken into account for M.Tech admissions whereas the MBA programs are admitted on the basis of scores obtained from the Common Admission Test (CAT), Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), or Kerala Management Admission Test (KMAT Kerala). The entry into the MCA program is done through the Kerala MCA Entrance Examination conducted by LBS. Basic eligibility criteria for B.Tech course are completion of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as the main subjects. For the postgraduate programs, candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in the relevant field along with the minimum percentage of marks required for admission by the institute.
