  • Guest Room/Waiting Room

    The Institute has an Assam Type guest house. The facilities are as follows: It has one suite. Two 2 bedded rooms. one 3 bedded room. A TV is there in the rooms. The air-conditioning facility is there. The guest house has been utilized by dignitaries and VIPs visiting the Institute from time to time.

  • Boys Hostel

    The Institute has served the trainees and guests the Institute has a trainees hostel. The facilities are as follows: 20 double-bedded rooms. 3 VIP rooms. 3 deluxe rooms. A meeting hall for trainees. A VIP lounge. A VIP dining room. A large dining hall. A Meeting Hall with necessary facilities like air-conditioning, LCD projector, and other audio-visual arrangements. Institute also earns revenue by letting the trainee’s hostel facilities officials of state and central governments and visitors on a payment basis.

    The Institute has For imparting in-campus training and other capacity building program institute has classrooms. The facilities are as follows: Two well-equipped classrooms. Classrooms have air condition facilities. Interactive whiteboards. LCD projectors. The guest house has been utilized by dignitaries and VIPs visiting the Institute from time to time.

  • Auditorium

    The Institute has civil works of the 216 seater capacity auditorium have been completed. The work of interiors, acoustics, sound system, lighting, chairs, stagecraft, air conditioning is in the pipeline and expected to be completed by the end of the year.

  • Transport Facility

    The Institute has its own transport cell managed by a Vehicle in Incharge. At present, there are 02 Scorpio, 01 Winger and a 33 seater TATA Bus to meet and cater the need of transportation of the faculty members to various destinations of the North Eastern Region in connection with a training program

  • Laboratories

    The soil and Water Testing Laboratory of NERIWALM have been rendering technical services since its inception. The laboratory has been acclaimed globally for its torch-bearing studies on groundwater contamination of Arsenic and Heavy Metals in Assam and North-East India during the period 2003-2005, which opened up new horizons of groundwater research in this part of the country in terms of geohydrological and hydrochemical perspectives. In recent times, the Laboratory took up the challenging studies on the physicochemical behaviors of post-November 2017 extremely turbid Siang river phenomena and exposed the contamination of Aluminium and Iron in Siang river water and iron contamination in the Brahmaputra river. The laboratory is fully capable of soil and water analysis in its quality, nutrient status and has been instrumental in providing technical backups to a large number of NERIWALM’s and other institute’s R & D programs, technical programs, dissertation of students, Agri-preneurs, Tea gardens, farmers, water industries and other stakeholders in the water sector. Besides, the laboratory has been offering a week-long self-financed training and certification program on Soil testing and Water Quality testing courses. Let’s look into the major and sophisticated instrumentation facilities of the Soil and Water Testing Laboratory of NERIWALM.

  • I.T Infrastructure

    The Computational Laboratory serves the purpose of conducting hands-on practices during training courses. The laboratory is equipped with necessary peripherals like series of desktop computers, printers, scanner, etc. for carrying out text processing, preparation, and printing of reports of different technical activities including day to day works of the Institute. Different software for scientific and technical activities are also available which are used for practice in some of the training programs of the Institute. It has also internet facilities provided by the NIC, Government of India under the National Knowledge Network (NKN) program and connected with LAN.

  • Library

    The Institute has Books on irrigation, hydrology, watershed management, soil conservation, agricultural and horticultural sciences, computer science, remote sensing and GIS, social science, etc. which are necessary for updating scientific knowledge, information, references in preparing training courses, R&D reports are available in the Library. It is opened during office hours to all the staff of NERIWALM and others. It has a collection of about 4170 books, subscribe 38 national and international journals, and various reports and magazines on water and land resources management published by different organizations.
