Pandiyan Polytechnic College was established in 1985 and is an independent institution in Tirupattur, Tamil Nadu. This institution possesses the AICTE approval; it provides its students with diploma courses in fields of engineering. The college is located on a large piece of land of twenty-five acres and this makes for a conducive environment for technical education. Pandiyan College of Polytechnic thus admits 208 students in a year and employs 32 members of teaching faculty, ensuring a student-faculty ratio of 6:1. It conducts three diploma courses in engineering institutions, and its prime focus is the quantitative courses in the core engineering branches and the institute is dedicated to imparting quality technical education for the would-be engineers.

A canteen is responsible for providing the campus with culinary services, and there is a guest house for guests of faculty and students. It is worthy of note that the college pays a very significant attention to the all-round development of the students by availing of the transport facilities and by supporting the alumni association.

Pandiyan Polytechnic College deals primarily in a standard set of full-time diploma courses in the field of engineering. The institute currently provides three courses: Diploma courses include a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Diploma in Civil Engineering. These are three-year programmes whose primary aim is expected to provide our students with a hands-on practical approach coupled with sound theoretical knowledge in their area of specialisation. In terms of capacity, the B.Tech offerings have received sanction to admit 125 students in total, while the distribution for each department is mechanical engineering, which will take 60 students, electrical and electronics, having 35 students, and civil engineering, which takes only 30 learners. This distribution shows that the institute focuses more on the fundamental branches of engineering science that are in massive demand in the industrial segment.

Pandiyan Polytechnic College has laid down very simple admission procedures for the students who want to join this institution.
