Panskura Banamali College, East Midnapore Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has hostels that are provided with common rooms with some recreational facilities, computers with internet, a library, newspapers, and arrangements of regular housekeeping. During college hours the college medical officer takes care of all medical exigencies of the hostel boarders and the students in general. Beyond college hours, in case of any exigencies, the college medical officer either is called or the indisposed is sent to the nearest health center. The hostel boarders get sufficient safe water throughout the day. Round the clock, strict security is provided to all the hostels.

The College has First Aid, Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency care facility, and Ambulance: First Aid facilities available with some Physiotherapy modalities. The college is attached to the Student Health Home wherein an emergency the students get free of cost/ cheap medical treatment.

The College has a well-equipped gymnasium with well-trained trainers to help the college community with regular physical exercises apart from curricular support to the undergraduate students in Physical Education and B.P.Ed.

The college has library is more than 54 years old and comprised of many old books whose valuation is not possible. Many books donated by Alumni and Publishers are also in the Library whose valuation cannot be done. Each Department has its own seminar library where references and also textbooks (donated and some purchased by departmental grants) are available. Some books that are very old are not included in this count.

The College has Sports equipment for cricket, football and table tennis, volleyball, basketball, etc. are also available for the students.

The College has a very good Computer laboratory with a sufficient number of computers.

The College has Providing facilities for hygienic, healthy, and nutritious food to the students and staff is one of the greatest concerns of the college. In this respect, a well-organized canteen in PPP mode has been established within the campus. This canteen provides popular Bengali thali meals apart from other food items. Tea and coffee are also provided by the canteen.

The College has boasts a big auditorium which most of the colleges in West Bengal do not have. An 800-seated well-maintained auditorium is the pride of the college community. Apart from college use, this auditorium is rented out to others for resource mobilization.

The College has Alumni Association.  Many of our teachers who are involved in the evaluation system of the college and the University are also members of the Alumni Association of the college. They act as a source of resources for any change in the evaluation process. Recently we have started the feedback from the alumni on our website.

The college has campus is fully covered through Wi-Fi internet connectivity. 12 dedicated antennas throughout the college bring uninterrupted 3G internet of 1 GHz to every corner of the college. Students and staff of the college can use such facilities through secured passwords. In addition, the college has a 10 Mbps leased line for uninterrupted internet service.

The college also has a swimming pool inside the campus which fulfill the demand for surface water.

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.

The College has a branch of the Bangiya Gramin Vikash Bank, a cooperative bank, within its campus. This fully equipped branch of the bank has been providing support to the college people to include themselves in the financial system of our country to a greater extent. For the transfer of the scholarships and stipends to the students and salaries to the staff, this facility has been a great support. As the branch is the CBS facility the college staff members avail the facility of Debit Cart and the college can transfer the money to any office through RTGS or NEFT.

The College has a well-protected cycle cum motor stand that helps the college community to keep their cycles, motorcycles, and private cars within the campus under strict vigil. A 24 hours security guard appointed by the college authority looks after the stand.

The College boasts a two-room well-furnished and maintained guest house to cater to the need of the guest teachers, officials, and guardians. The college staff can also use the facility in exigencies

The college has a girls' hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
