PCET Bangalore Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Prasanna College of Engineering and Technology, acronym for PCET, is a private institute that was established in the year 2009, located at Ujire, Karnataka. The institute offers undergraduate engineering courses and a postgraduate MBA course. The admissions process of PCET is planned to choose the most suitable candidates who would share the vision of developing technical education in engineering and management. The admission cycle for PCET generally falls in line with the academic calendar of Karnataka, and admissions usually begin a few months before the start of the academic year. For undergraduate engineering programs, the college follows the admission process set by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). 

For undergraduate engineering courses, the eligibility criteria are: candidates must have completed 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. The eligibility criteria, in terms of percentage, may differ and candidates should refer to the latest guidelines available on the college website. For the MBA program, the candidate must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. The admission is based on the Karnataka PGCET scores, which is a state-level entrance examination for postgraduate courses in management.

Application Process 

The application process differs with the different programs at Prasanna College of Engineering and Technology. 

B.E. Programs

1. Qualify in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test, conducted by KEA.

2. Register in the counseling process conducted by KEA.

3. Choose PCET and preferred engineering courses during the counseling.

4. If allocated a seat report to PCET for document verification and admission formalities.

For MBA Program

1. Appear for the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET).

2. Qualify in the PGCET with the required score.

3. Apply to PCET through the centralized admission process for MBA programs in Karnataka.

4. If shortlisted, attend counseling and complete the admission process at PCET.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech/B.E.: PCET offers five programs of Bachelor of Engineering (BE) with an intake capacity of 60 students per year in each program. The programs offered are Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Admission is made on the basis of performance in the CET conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority for the state.

MBA: PCET offers a two-year full-time MBA course. The MBA course of PCET is available to the candidates who have qualified in Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test, Karnataka PGCET. Those students who have qualified in PGCET can apply for the MBA course in PCET. Final selection depends on other criteria set by the college.

Admission documents required generally are:

• 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates
• Degree certificates and mark sheets for MBA applicants.
• Score card of CET for B.E., PGCET for MBA
• Domicile certificate (where applicable)
• Category certificates (if claiming any reservation category)
• Recent passport-size photographs
