The admission to B.Sc Nursing courses typically requires passing 10+2 with science subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized board.

Application Process

Application process of PSG College of Nursing, Coimbatore, is different for different programs:

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Sc Nursing: PSG College of Nursing admits 100 students per year in its B.Sc Nursing course. Students should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. 

M.Sc Nursing: The PSG College of Nursing offers M.Sc Nursing in five specializations, namely Child Health Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, and Community Health Nursing. Intake is 6 students per specialization. The candidate must hold a B.Sc Nursing or equivalent degree from a recognized university. Admission based on considering the performance of the candidate at undergraduate course and entrance exam or interview, as may be applicable.

Ph.D. Nursing: The college has Ph.D. courses in Medical Surgical Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, and Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing on full-time and part-time basis. The applicants must have M.Sc Nursing in the concerned specialisation. Admission for Ph.D. programmes is generally through submission of research proposal, entrance test, and personal interview.

Post Basic Diploma Courses: PSG College of Nursing also conducts Post Basic Diploma courses in Operation Room Nursing and Critical Care Nursing. These courses are conducted for registered nurses intending to specialize in a particular field of nursing practice.
