Raghunath Girl's Post Graduate College, Meerut Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a three-floor, 250 bedded girls’ hostel with a well-equipped mess stands in the college campus with all modern amenities which ensure the security and well-being of students coming from distant corners of the state. This hostel was inaugurated by the Honourable first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, on 3rd January 1961. The Goddess of learning Maa Saraswati and Lord Shiva is enshrined in temples within the hostel campus. It has a book store, a PCO and a photocopying facility for the students.

The college provides has medical aid center and doctors on call are there for the students‘ benefit. the provide first aid in case of an injury. Students are taken to the near-by hospital under the supervision of a teacher in case of any serious problem with the recommendation of the doctor. The Medical committee organizes talks by specialist doctors on girls‘ related problems. Camps for a Dental checkup, Eye checkup, bone density, blood group, Hemoglobin, etc. are organized. The medical committee takes remedial action whenever any new epidemic spreads like Swine Flu etc by distributing precautionary medicines to students, teachers & non-teaching staff.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college is proud of its well-equipped library, spread across four floors, comprising a journal room, a research section, a students’ reading room, and a book bank with a fully computerized open access system. It has around one lakh books under the lending, textbooks and reference books with 65000 titles, 4300 bound journals and subscriptions to 89 Indian and International journals, 37 magazines, and 15 newspapers. It provides access to e-Journals, INFLIBNET & DELNET. It also has a photocopying facility for the students.

The college has sports facilities for all students. Sports students were given full support, facilities, and encouragement to seek selections in state and national level presentations. Some of them did score well, like, went for the Republic Day Parade screening test, won international, national, state and university level prizes and shields.

The College Central Computer Lab is fully equipped with around 100 computers and an equal number of them, in total, are, in total, in all the departments for the use of student research work.

The college has a hygienically maintained canteen facility which provides tea, coffee, etc along with fresh & cooked snacks. To cater to the needs of the students, the college has a spacious student canteen having the necessary infrastructure.

The College auditorium is centrally air-conditioned and has 400 seats on the ground and first floor. It has a full-screen facility to showcase films & documentaries.
