ACE Palakkad Admission Process

Rajadhani Institute of Science and Technology (RIST), Palakkad, or ACE Palakkad, one of the top educational institutions in Kerala providing various engineering and management courses, RIST has been accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for its quality of education. The admission process of the institute is such that it selects meritorious students based on various national and state-level entrance examinations.

The admission process in RIST usually starts in April-May for the August-September session. The institute offers admissions based on various entrance exams according to the course. For B.Tech courses, admissions are mostly through the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) exam, and some seats are also filled up through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main).

For B.Tech courses, the minimum qualification is the passing of 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the core subjects. The percentage requirement might be mentioned, but generally, a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the trio of subjects is desirable.

Application Process

Admission process in Rajadhani Institute of Science and Technology, Palakkad differs with respect to the course and category of admission:

For B.Tech programs:

1. Merit Quota:

  • Apply for centralized allotment under the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: RIST has several B.Tech courses such as Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), and Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security). Admission for B.Tech courses is done as per the following:

1. Merit Quota: The candidates are required to sit for KEAM and get admitted through the centralized allotment procedure.
2. Management Quota: Candidates have to clear either KEAM or JEE Main.
3. NRI Quota: Candidates do not have to appear for KEAM but have to produce authentic evidence of NRI status.

The intake is 60 each in the majority of the B.Tech courses with slight variations.

MBA: RIST has an approved strength of 120 seats for its MBA program. No details about MBA admissions have been mentioned, but the institute probably accepts national-level MBA entrance exams for admission.

Diploma Courses: RIST also provides different diploma courses in engineering disciplines like Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. All the diploma courses have a sanctioned seat of 60 seats. Diploma course admission can be different from B.Tech admissions, and students are advised to inquire about requirements from the institute.
