We have a decent library. Students need to get permission from the HOD to access journals and papers. We have a recording of lectures, so we can rewatch them later, but no one uses it. We have a lot of clubs ranging from photography to entrepreneurship.
The faculty is good and well-graduated from different universities. Some are average. They change when we complain about them. They do fastly by management. They teach in English and it is very good. There are campus recruitment classes which are very helpful for students.
Placements in our college are very nice. During the recession period, REC provided many placements for students. Average students can get placements easily here. Students who are toppers in their class get placed at Google, Amazon, etc. The university has collaborations with numerous national and international companies.
We have open Wi-Fi all around the campus and many labs for all departments. The hostel food quality and room are pretty average. Classrooms and labs are good enough. They don't give much importance to sports, but they give importance to events, symposiums, and hackathons.
Yes, teachers are very friendly, not that strict. We have 3 CAT exams each month for 75 marks and a semester exam for 100 marks. Exams and question papers are not that tough; we can clear them easily. The pass percentage is 50, which is pretty high, but you can score easily. The curriculum actually meets industry needs, and B. Tech CSBS is one of the best syllabi because it was designed by TCS. So yes, you can join REC
Almost 80% of them got placed in the 7th semester. The eligibility criteria to attend placements are no standing arrears and a CGPA > 7. In the 6th semester, placements will start. Top MNC companies like TCS, CTS, ACCENTURE, AMAZON, GOOGLE, and BNY MELLON came for recruitment. The highest package offered was 28 LPA, and the lowest was 3.5 LPA.

While compared to many other colleges REC has a better placement and many top companies conduct placement interviews here. REC has almost eighty seven percent placement rate which is huge when u compare
When it comes to over all all together value for money, for the fees u are paying you almost get everything you need the classes , the labs , the transportation everything is fine with minor problems.
The campus life is good you don't have much to roam around and see but will be good with all the trees and everything here. The college is located around 20 km from chennai and the student teacher interactions will be very friendly.

From good facilities like classrooms and well-equipped labs, learning spaces such as the library and student lounges, every aspect contributes to academic growth and collaboration. The extensive amenities including sports fields ensures holistic development. Overall, the college has been a mark of good infrastructure and an ideal environment for academic sucess and personal growth.
Academics wise, the college promotes diligent learning and widening your thinking capacity. It promotes everyday applications of theoretical knowledge. Although, the slight overload of records and assignments are to be seen, that's a hard bullet to dodge as engineering students everywhere have to deal with this problem. Otherwise, academics is excellent at REC.
A good percent of students have been placed in core companies and other companies from past data with a good package and scope. Although I cannot share my personal experience due to lack of it thereof in this matter.
There has been a huge value for money. Since I joined REC, my interest in the field has grown and there have been many opportunities to widen my knowledge. Highly recommended among engineering colleges.
The campus life is hectic, and there might be a lot of assignments, records, internal exams dumped on you. But with the right set of friends and a support group, college life at REC should be exactly as you dreamed for watching all the films growing up.
The Tech Lounge which is the Computer lab has computer to accomodate around 700 people. There are dedicated labs for all departments are available. Fully Air Conditioned busses with a dedicated transport office.
The fairly good enough classroom and also laboratories good enough to perform experiments necessary for the syllabus and also faculties to guide us on our research projects. Study materials and stationery are mostly procured by students only
They have dedicated placement cell to ensure 100 percentage placements by providing placement training based on the entrace for different companies by scheduling training camps accomodating all the students of the batch in the semester holidays
Everything was available, wifi was available in places were phones were allowed, space was clean all the facilities for academics were there and useful only drawback was I will not be assessable all time
Staffs were knowledgeable and experienced and most of them did doctorate and remaining were doing their doctorate the curriculum was at present and with real time examples so that we can connect it easily
Though i am mechanical placements were mostly for IT guys and the package for mech and differs so much and during my year of placements it was not favorable to mechanical guys if placed the package was not good
Yes, The college has good infrastructure and healthy environment. The infrastructure is quite good with a peaceful ambiance. Each and every student would get a chance to prove themselves without any partiality.
The teaching is very good as Materials are provided in clear cut form up to date. I interested in the discipline of integrated devices and electronic circuits. So I took ECE. Even the mistakes are said in such a way, that it would not hurt students.
The placement cell is quite good. They provide a lot of training programs and ensures that each student gets placed. REC is probably one among the better AU affiliated colleges in the state. Each student is beneffited by the placement cell of REC.
