Rangia College, Rangia Admission Process

For students who are aspiring to higher education, Rangia College offers a myriad of undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses. This affiliated college of Assam grants scholarships on a needs-based basis acceding students who are supposed to study a course of their choice according to merit. Admissions are basically conducted at the end of the 10+2 results, after which students can apply to one or more programs offered by the institution.

Rangia College is the best college with a vast range of subjects in different areas, namely Arts, Science, and Commerce, as well as vocational courses. The admissions process is designed as fair and impartial towards all competing candidates in the lucky little pool of legitimate candidates.

Students completing the 10+2 examination from any recognized Board in India are eligible for most undergraduate courses. Merit is the sole criterion for selection-mostly. Very likely the cut-off marks vary with the specific course and the number of applications received, but all selections of the college try to be consistent in holding an academic standard.

Application Process

In order to secure admission to Rangia College, Rangia, the student is required to conduct the following things:

1. Notification: Admission updates are announced by the college on the internet and through local newspapers to signify commencement of the process for applications.

2. Application. The application for admission is required to be collected and completed by the candidates since this form is usually made available in both online and offline formats. This form must be filled in by the applicant properly with valid information and all needed particulars of the candidate.

3. Document Submission: In addition to sending the filled application form, candidates should also submit self-attested copies of:

  • 10 and 12 Mark Sheets and Certificates
  • Transfer Certificate of Previous Institution,
  • Character Certificate, and
  • Caste Certificate
  • Recent Passport Size Photographs

4. Application fee: Each applicant must pay an identified application fee and normally such payments can be made electronically or even through demand draft as instructed by the college.
5. Submission: The duly filled application form along with all relevant documents and a fee receipt shall be submitted to the college 

admission office on or before the last date.

6. Merit List: The college will keep ready the merit list based on the accumulated score for qualifying examination and any other consideration directed at each specific program.

7. Counseling and Admission: The candidates selected for admission (on the basis of merit) will report for counseling, where courses may be offered to the candidates, thereby allowing them to select their preferred subjects according to their merit ranks and their availability.

8. Deposit of Fees: However, selected candidates will have to pay the requisite admission fees and also complete other formalities to host the course.

9. Verification of Documents: The institution will have strict validation of originals before admission letters are provided.

Degree-wise Admission Process

Undergraduate and post-graduate programs: Rangia College offers following subjects under BA programs namely, Bodo, Education, Sanskrit, Geography, Economics, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Assamese, Arabic, and English. It has an intake capacity of 1000 students for the BA program and admission is based on merit list drawn from 10+2 results.

In B.Sc, B.Sc. courses of the college are Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany with Honours. For B.Sc. courses, there is a capacity of 300 students. Eligibility for admission will be considered for securing marks in the relevant subject in the 10+2 examination.

B.Com: Rangia College offers B.Com courses in Management, Finance, and Accountancy. For B. Com, the total seat intake is 300. Admission will be conducted based on the merit list made up of results obtained in the 10+2 levels with respect to subjects of commerce.

BCA: The college has a seat capacity of 30 for its BCA programs. Admission to this program takes place under merit on the basis of the marks scored by a student in the 10+2 examinations concerning mathematics and computer science.

BPED: Rangia College provides BPED programs with a 30-seat capacity. Admissions to these programs are based on merit concerning both academic and physical fitness levels.

MA: Several MA programs are offered by the college such as Bodo, Arabic, Assamese, Economics, Education, English, and Sanskrit. The intake varies from 10 to 35, depending on the specialization. Admission is on merit as per the relevant bachelor's degree.

M.Sc.: The M.Sc. in Botany program has spaces for 10 students in Rangia College. Admission is conducted based on merit criterion following the marks obtained in the B.Sc. degree with Botany as major.
