RMK College of Engineering and Technology, Thiruvallur has a boys’ hostel. RMKCET Thiruvallur boys’ hostel has 100 rooms and can accommodate about 300 students. The boys’ hostel rooms are spacious, adequately ventilated, well maintained and furnished with necessary accessories. The hostel has a separate gymnasium, an air-conditioned saloon for the boys. It also has a general store for provisions required by the students.

A separate hostel is provided at RMKCET Thiruvallur for girls. The girls' hostel has 20 rooms, which can accommodate about 70 students. The RMKCET Thiruvallur hostel rooms are large, well-ventilated, well-kept, and equipped with all required amenities. For the girls, there is a separate gymnasium and beauty parlour in the hostel. In addition, the RMKCET Thiruvallur hostel features a general store where students can get necessities.

RMK College of Engineering and Technology, Thiruvallur has a clinic with a few beds and a 24-hour on-call doctor service is also provided to meet the healthcare needs of the hostel students. Separate sick rooms for both boys and girls are also available.

The library also subscribes to national journals, international journals, magazines and newspapers and also has subscriptions to access IEEE, ASME, IETE and IEI online journals and other publications. The NPTEL (National Program Technology Enhanced Learning) is provided by RMKCET through online and web video courses in engineering and humanities. It also has institutional membership in the Libraries of Anna University, British Council Library, DELNET, NDL, IEI and IETE.

The outdoor sports infrastructural facilities for the students are a cricket ground, a basketball, a football ground, two tennis courts, two badminton courts, two volleyball courts, throw ball courts, two tenkiot courts and a 400 mts athletic track. The indoor sports facilities available on the campus are carrom board, chessboard and table tennis etc.
