RP Inderaprastha Institute of Technology, Karnal Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

The Institute has been established in different fields starting from technical to management. It is a highly reputed institute approved by AICTE; therefore, there is a proper admission system whereby the deserving candidates are selected for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Admissions are given on the basis of the entrance examination at RPIIT, which indeed provides a transparent and competitive process of selection.

Generally, the admission procedure runs parallel to the academic calendars, which begin during August-September. Admissions for the B.Tech program are made using the scores of national or state-level engineering entrance examinations. Admission to the MBA program is made via CMAT or MAT, after which a composite assessment is performed. Admission to the M.Tech. program is done on the basis of GATE scores.

Different sets of eligibility criteria apply for various courses. For B.Tech courses, candidates ought to have undergone +2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry or Computer Science. Candidates for admission into the MBA program should possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline. M.Tech. courses require a relevant bachelor's degree that should be in engineering or technology.

Application Process

For B.Tech, the RPIIT provides B.Tech programs in Computer Science and Engineering with 60 seats, Mechanical Engineering with 60 seats, and Electronics and Communications Engineering with 30 seats. Admission was strictly carried out on the basis of the entrance examination.

For MBA, the institute offers 60 seats for the MBA program. Admission is based on the CMAT or MAT Composite Score. 

For M.Tech, RPIIT offers Project specific to M.Tech in CSE (9 seats) and M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (9 seats). Admission for M.Tech in CSE will be based on the GATE score followed by counseling. Admission for M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering will be based on the GATE score and merit.

For BBA, the institute offers a program with 120 seats. 

For BCA, RPIIT offers the program BCA with 30 seats.

Application process

Depending on the program, admissions to RP Inderaprastha Institute of Technology, Karnal, are conducted differently:

For B.Tech programs:

1. Candidates should qualify for the requisite national or state-level engineering entrance examinations.
2. Notification for application will be made on the institute's website.
3. Fill out the online application form for B.Tech admission.
4. Submit the application with all necessary documents and the fee.
5. Wait for the merit list based on entrance examination scores.
6. Attend counseling when a candidate has been short-listed and complete all relevant formalities to complete admission.

For MBA programs:

1. An applicant has to appear for CMAT or MAT exam.
2. While the applications are open, the applicant should apply to RPIIT.
3. The MBA application form should be filled out, and further documentation submitted.
4. The institute shall evaluate candidates on their CMAT/MAT composite score.
5. Depending on the situation, further rounds of selection may be held for shortlisted candidates.
6. Finally, admission shall be granted based on overall performance with regard to seat availability.

For M.Tech programs:

1. The GATE examination should be qualified.
2. While calling the RPIIT applications for M.Tech, it should be applied.
3. The completed application form along with the GATE score and other required documents should be submitted.
4. Candidates for M.Tech CSE will be called for a counseling round if shortlisted.
5. The final selection will be made based on the GATE score along with the performance in any other rounds held.
