SCET Surat admission is offered to 10 B.E/B.Tech, 4 M.E/M.Tech and 16 Ph.D programmes in engineering and technology specialisations. SCET Surat B.E / B.Tech selection process is based on the performance in the GUJCET entrance examination and SCET Surat ME/M.Tech eligibility criteria are to attend the GATE entrance examination followed by counselling. SCET Surat MCA selection criteria are based on the performance of candidates in the CMAT entrance examination.

Quality of teaching can be considered as good but not the best as most of the faculties teach here just for the sake of their duty not for students' benefit . Some of the teachers from other branches are like unbearable.
