School of Legal Studies CUSAT Admission 2026: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Cutoff & Application Form

School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi accepts candidates who are seeking graduation/ postgraduation/ Ph.D in the legal sector. For SLS CUSAT Kochi admissions, candidates are required to take an entrance test and get their name on the rank list. School of Legal Studies CUSAT admissions are merit based. 

SLS CUSAT Kochi admission to LLB/B.Com LLB(H)/ BBA LLB (H) requires candidates to clear CUSAT-CAT. Similarly, CUSAT-CAT is also applicable for admission to the SLS CUSAT LLM course. For PhD course at School of Legal Studies Cochin University of Science and Technology, candidates are required to appear for an entrance test and an interview to get admission.

• Candidates must register at the admission portal and submit academic details, upload documents per the specified format, select the desired law programme and pay the application fee.

• Take a preview of the form and then submit it.

• Keep a physical copy of the application form for future reference.

The preparation of the rank list for SLS CUSAT LLB courses involves giving 50% weightage to both CAT (Part 1) and CAT (Part 2).

SLS CUSAT Kochi Admission Process 2025 for UG Courses

• Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria before applying for the SLS CUSAT UG courses (LLB/ B.Com LLB(H)/ BBA LLB (H)).

• Candidates must register online at the CUSAT Kochi admission portal and appear for the CUSAT-CAT (Common Admission Test). A rank list will be generated of the qualified candidates on the portal.

• Selected candidates should choose the desired SLS CUSAT LLB course and proceed with document verification.

• After successful completion of document verification and payment of SLS CUSAT fees, candidates are granted admission.

For the SLS CUSAT LLM course, the weightage given for the preparation of the rank list is as follows: CAT Part 1 (35%), CAT Part II (35%), Group Discussion (15%) and Interview (15%).

SLS CUSAT Kochi Admission Process 2025 for LLM Course

• Candidates must meet the SLS CUSAT LLM eligibility criteria and register at the admission portal.

• Candidates should register online at the CUSAT Kochi admission portal and appear for the CUSAT-CAT (Common Admission Test). Short-listed candidates based on CAT scores are called for group discussion and interview.

• A CLS CUSAT Kochi rank list will be generated of the qualified candidates on the portal. Selected candidates should proceed with document verification.

• After successful completion of document verification and payment of admission fees, candidates are granted SLC CUSAT Kochi admission.

The Departmental Admission Test (DAT) for the SLS CUSAT PhD course consists of a written test and an interview. For DAT-qualified candidates, the rank list is made on the following basis- 50% for written tests, 30% for master’s degree, 20% for interview and 10 marks for qualifying NET/GATE or similar exams.

SLS CUSAT Kochi Admission Process 2025 for PhD Course

• Candidates must meet the SLS CUSAT PhD eligibility criteria and fill out the School of Legal Studies (SLS) application form online. (The application fee is Rs 1200 (Rs 600 for Kerala SC/ST candidates).

• Candidates must take the Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission to the PhD programme.

• The selection process for the SLS CUSAT PhD course consists of a written test followed by an interview conducted by the concerned department.

• Candidates who have qualified for NET/GATE or similar exams, or have received fellowships from agencies like UGC/ AICTE/ CSIR are not required to take the entrance test.

• A rank list will be prepared and qualified candidates will be given provisional admission. Then, candidates are required to get their documents verified and pay the admission fee to confirm admission.
