School of Legal Studies (SLS) CUSAT, Kochi accepts candidates who are seeking graduation/ postgraduation/ Ph.D in the legal sector. To get admission to SLS CUSAT courses, candidates are required to take an entrance test and get their name on the rank list. 

Admission to LLB/B.Com LLB(H)/ BBA LLB (H) requires candidates to clear CUSAT-CAT. Similarly, CUSAT-CAT is also applicable for admission to the SLS CUSAT LLM course. The Departmental Admission Test (DAT) for the SLS CUSAT Ph.D course consists of a written test and an interview. For DAT-qualified candidates, the rank list is made on the following basis- 50% for written tests, 30% for master’s degree, 20% for interview and 10 marks for qualifying NET/GATE or similar exams.

SLS CUSAT Ph.D Admission Process 

• Candidates must meet the SLS CUSAT Ph.D eligibility criteria and fill out the School of Legal Studies (SLS) application form online. (The application fee is Rs 1200 (Rs 600 for Kerala SC/ST candidates).

• Candidates must take the Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission to the Ph.D programme.

• The selection process for the SLS CUSAT Ph.D course consists of a written test followed by an interview conducted by the concerned department.

• Candidates who have qualified for NET/GATE or similar exams, or have received fellowships from agencies like UGC/ AICTE/ CSIR are not required to take the entrance test.

• A rank list will be prepared and qualified candidates will be given provisional admission. Then, candidates are required to get their documents verified and pay the admission fee to confirm admission.
