Mar Gregorios College of Law, Nalanchira Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

The college of Mar Gregorios for Law, Nalanchira, has long been one of the best-recommended institutions for legal education in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The college has structured its well-designed admission procedures for the selection of the most meritorious candidates for its various law programs.

Generally, Mar Gregorios College of Law starts its admission process according to the academic year, which usually begins in the months of August to September. In the case of the undergraduate integrated law courses, 50 percent of the intake of candidates is through the Kerala Law Entrance Examination (KLEE) conducted by the Government of Kerala. The remaining seats are allotted to the college as per its own institutional policy and on merit.

The eligibility criteria for five years Integrated (BA LLB, BBA LLB, and B.Com LLB) programs basically require passing the qualifying examination of 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. The candidate must have qualified in the examination with the requisite minimum marks as per Bar Council of India and University norms.

Application Process

For B.A. LLB, BBA LLB, and B.Com LLB (KLEE seats):

1. Register online for Kerala Law Entrance Examination (KLEE).
2. Qualify KLEE with a required rank/score.
3. Attend the centralized allotment conducted by the government.
4. If a seat in management is allotted, report to Mar Gregorios College of Law for document verification and admission formalities.

For B.A. LLB, BBA LLB, and B.Com LLB-Management seats:

1. Obtain the application from the college website or by visiting the office of the college in person.
2. Fill in the application form with correct information.
3. Submit the duly filled application form, required documents, and application fee at the college.
4. Attend any interview or counseling session called for by the college.
5. If selected, complete the admission process including payment of requisite fees and submission of original documents.

For the LLM in Constitutional Law

1. Admission under Kerala State Entrance Test Seats:  

• Attend the Kerala State Entrance Test for admission into the LLM program.
• Upon qualifying, participate in the centralized allotment procedure.
• On establishing a seat at the college, undertake the admission procedure.

2: Direct application to the management seat under prescribed application format.  

• Submit the duly-filled application along with academic records and other documents to the college.
• Undergo the interview if called by the college.
• Complete the admission process if finally selected.

Degree-wise Admission Process

For these five-year integrated programs, an intake of 60 students each is available. The admission process has two divisions:  

• 30 seats (50%) are filled through KLEE conducted by the Government of Kerala.
• Remaining 30 seats are filled as per institutional norms and merit.
• Eligibility criteria include passing 10+2 or equivalent examination with the required minimum marks per BCI and University norm.

LLM Constitutional Law: This postgraduate program allows for an intake of only 10 students. The admission is carried out as follows:

• Five seats on the basis of marks secured in LLB course from Kerala State Entrance Test.   
• Five remaining seats by the Management on the basis of institutional norms and merit by considering the marks secured in qualifying examination (LLB).
• Eligibility requires a Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university with the minimum marks prescribed by the university.

The general document requirement shall include:

• Marksheets and certificates of 10th and 12th
• Graduation mark sheets and degree certificate for LLM applicants.
• Scorecard of the entrance exam (KLEE or Kerala State LLM Entrance Test).
• Transfer Certificate.
• Migration Certificate, if applicable.
• Caste/Category certificate, if applicable.
• Recent passport-size photographs.
• Any other documents as specified by the College at the time of admission.
