SSITM Bhilai Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Technology and Management is an institute that was established in Bhilai with an aim to provide undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma-level programs in engineering and management. The institute offers admission to aspiring students, either by taking many entrance examinations at both national and state levels. Most of the admissions for programs under SSITM Bhilai usually commence during May and June for the academic year starting in August and September. The institute accepts applications on the basis of the different entrance exam scores depending on the course or program. Admission for B.Tech programs is based on the JEE Main scores, whereas for MBA programs, the performance from multiple entrance exams, including CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, and ATMA,is also considered.

For B.Tech programs, candidates should have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects from a recognized board. Generally, the minimum aggregate of marks in the qualifying examination is around 50 percent. To pursue master's programs such as MBA and other similar courses, a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline is mandatory from a recognized university. Courses include 6 Bachelor of Technology degrees, 4 master of technology specialties, an MBA program, and 2 Diploma programs. Application Process

The application process for SSITM Bhilai depends on the program:

For B.Tech courses:

1. Qualify JEE Main or CG PET examination.
2. Register for state-level counseling (CG PET) or JoSAA counseling (for JEE Main) for admission.
3. Fill out the application form found on the official SSITM Bhilai website or the counseling authority.
4. Pay the application fee.
5. Upload the following documents: mark sheets, entrance exam score card, and additional certificates.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: A total of 999 seats are set aside for six B.Tech programs at SSITM Bhilai. Admission to B.Tech programs is based on performance in JEE Main and CG PET (Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test). Having completed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, students qualify for these entrance exams.

M.Tech: The four M.Tech specializations provided by the institution are Digital Electronics, Production Engineering, Power Systems, and Cyber Forensics and Information Security. Admissions to M.Tech courses depend upon the merit index from respective entrance tests, followed by an interview session. Besides, for eligibility in M.Tech, students must have completed a B.E. or B.Tech or equivalent degree in the concerned area.

MBA: The MBA program is offered through the Department of Management Studies in SSITM Bhilai. Admission is based upon scores from any of the following entrance tests: CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, and ATMA. Candidates qualifying any of the above exams become eligible for counseling, which may also include a few extra rounds as part of the selection process, such as group discussion and personal interview.

Diploma: There is a Diploma program in Mechanical Engineering and another in Civil Engineering offered by the institute. For admission in diploma courses, generally, it is through state level and qualifying examinations or marks obtained in qualifying exams (10 or 12) for awarding admissions in diploma courses.
