SJBIT Admissions 2025 for BE Courses

SJBIT admissions are offered to 8 courses in the fields of computer science and engineering, civil engineering, electronics and communication engineering, information science and engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering ad others. Candidates with a diploma can also apply for the SJBIT admissions to the BE course through lateral entry.

SJBIT Admission Process for M.Tech and MCA

Candidates must fulfil the SJBIT admission eligibility criteria.
Candidates are required to fill out the SJBIT admission form.
Take the Karnataka PGCET and wait for the results and announcement of the cutoff.
Shortlisted candidates based on ranks of the entrance test are called for Karnataka PGCET counselling, conducted by KEA.

SJBIT Bangalore offers MBA seats in government and management quota. 50% of seats are allotted through the KEA Government and the remaining 50% are management seats. SJBIT admissions are offered to 10 Ph.D courses in disciplines like Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and Mechanical Engineering. SJBIT admissions to the Ph.D courses are available for full-time 3 years and part-time 5 years.

SJBIT PhD Admission Process

UGC-NET(including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) / SLET / GATE/ CAT/having M.Phil degree/full-time (special) candidates/faculty members selected under QIP / FIP are exempted from the entrance test.
A merit list is prepared and shortlisted candidates have to appear for an interview.
A consolidated merit list will be prepared based on the scores of the interview (70% weightage) and the qualifying examination (30% weightage).

Lecturers are friendly and easy to approach. They engage easily with the students and clarify their doubts. They discuss many model papers and previous year papers. They provide us with study materials and also hand written notes. Semester end exams might be easy because of their teachings as I personally have no issues regarding the coaching.

The teachers are very helpful, and they have very good knowledge and a strong hold on the subject, as they have completed their Masters and most of them are Ph.D. holders. The course curriculum is fantastic. They plan everything properly and follow a proper curriculum. The pass percentage is 60%.

Both the institutions have their strengths in comparison between CMRIT and SJBIT. Nevertheless, some differences may come handy below while finalizing your decision:

Placements

SJBIT had a consistent placement record with top companies for recruiting students including Capgemini, Infosys, and TCS. Average packages go around 3.5 to 4 LPA for the students who would graduate after an undergraduate course. The placement percentage of this institution is about 69.34%.
CMRIT: The placement records for students especially in computer science and IT are also good. The companies which are majorly visiting the college are Amazon, Deloitte, and Infosys etc. Though the average package was around 4 LPA, some students even managed to fetch higher packages.

Infrastructure and Facilities:

Both the colleges have very good infrastructures with labs, libraries, and sports facilities. Still, SJBIT has a slightly larger campus space of 13 acres and does not have a few modern amenities like a Wi-Fi-enabled campus. CMRIT is located in one of the prime locations in Bangalore, which could offer much better networking and internship opportunities.

Accreditation:

SJBIT holds an A+ NAAC accreditation and has been performing well in its academic standards.
CMRIT is equally accredited with good academic results but may have a slightly smaller campus.

Student Reviews and Faculty:

Both colleges receive good reviews about the faculty and quality education but CMRIT is quite famous for its industry connections because of its location.

If placements and campus infrastructures are valued, then SJBIT would suit their needs. But if location as well as networking opportunities are the only criteria then, CMRIT would have more benefits since it is located in Bangalore.

I think you have some misunderstanding. KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) is an entrance test and not a code assigned to colleges.

cse in sjbit or ece in rnsit which is the better option ?

According to me, the RNSIT is better option cause the overall value of that college is good like academics and placement. The placement is great in this college with the average package of 4 lakhs per annum. And also around 4,50 lakhs.
