Surya School of Engineering and Technology, Villupuram Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

The Surya School of Engineering and Technology in Villuppurum District of Tamil Nadu to offer programs in Engineering and Management. The institutes have set out to closely examine the selection of deserving candidates for admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The institute is duly recognized by AICTE and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The period of admission usually starts soon after results of the relevant entrance examinations are announced. For undergraduate engineering courses, admissions are through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling process. Admissions for postgraduate programs including MBA will be on the basis of TANCET scores.

For the undergraduate programs, candidates should have passed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Selection is made on the basis of merit formed by the results of state-level engineering entrance examination and counselling.  Regarding the postgraduate programs, a candidate should possess a degree in the relevant discipline by qualifying for admission on the TANCET score followed by the phase of counselling. Certain courses, however, may admit applicants based on CEETA-PG.

Application Process

Taking into account the selection process of each of the higher education programs, Surya School of Engineering and Technology has prescribed different methods of application:

For B.Tech/BE programs:

1. Qualify for the state-level engineering entrance examination.
2. Register for the TNEA counselling process.
3. Pick SSET and preferred courses during counselling.
4. If allotted a seat, report to SSET for document verification and admission formalities.

For MBA and ME programs:

1. Appeared for TANCET/CEETA-PG (as applicable).
2. Register for the respective counselling conducted by Anna University.
3. Participate in the counselling where SSET is chosen based on merit.
4. If allotted a seat, the admission process has to be completed in SSET.

The documents expected during admission are:

• Class X and XII mark sheets
• Transfer Certificate
• Community Certificate (if applicable)
• Nativity Certificate
• Entrance exam score card
• Degree certificate and mark sheets (PG Programs)
• Other related certificates as prescribed by the institute or counselling authority

The major basis of selecting candidates has been candidates' performances in respective entrance examinations and counselling. SSET abides by the reservation policies instantiated by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Degree-wise admission process:

BTech/BE; Range of B Tech and BE programs such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, and Cyber Security are being offered by SSET. Admission to these programs occurs through the TNEA counseling process based on the scores of state-level engineering entrance examination. The program has a fixed intake ranging from 30-60 seats.

BTech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science: This program has an intake of 60 seats for admission through the TNEA counselling process like in the other undergraduate engineering programs.

MBA: For the MBA course, SSET has an intake of 60 seats. It is based on the TANCET score, followed by a counselling process held by Anna University.

ME: SSET offers ME programs in CAD CAM, Construction Engineering and Management, Computer Science and Engineering and VLSI Design. Admissions for these programs are normally made on the basis of either TANCET or CEETA-PG scores. The intake varies depending on specialization, from 12-24 seats.
