Thakur Ramnarayan College of Law (TRCL), Mumbai. TRCL has a merit-based admission process for its various law programs. TRCL's admission process is designed to select the most deserving candidates through competitive entrance examinations. The main entrance examination for entry into the undergraduate courses offered by TRCL is MH-CET Law.

In respect of undergrad programmes such as BLS LLB, BA LLB and LLB the selection is offered solely on marks in MH- CET Law exam; candidates will get preference due to higher score ensuring only worthy ones get placed into the College.

The admission cycle for TRCL usually starts after the declaration of MH-CET Law results. Though the dates may vary every year, the students can keep themselves updated with the official website of the college and the Maharashtra CET Cell for the dates related to application submission, document verification, and the start of the academic session.

Application Process

The application process at the Thakur Ramnarayan College of Law is as follows:

1. It consists of registration and an appearance in MH-CET Law for under graduate programs and LL.M Entrance Examination for postgraduate programs.

2. Meritorious students who have appeared can apply through the centralized admission process conducted by the Maharashtra CET Cell for under graduate courses and the University of Mumbai for postgraduate courses after declaration of results.

3. Fill up the online application forms available at particular portals of admissions by providing correct personal and academic information.

 4. Enclose photocopies of relevant documents that generally include

  • MH-CET Law scorecard in case of Undergraduate programmes
  • LL.M Entrance Examination scorecard in case of Postgraduate programs
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
  • Graduation mark sheets and degree certificate in case of LLB and LLM
  • Caste certificate, if necessary
  • Domicile certificate
  • Recent passport-size photographs

5. Pay application fee, and then the admission authorities will decide.

6. Wait for the publication of merit list after submission of application.

7. If selected then attend the counseling process for seat allotment.

8. Once the seat is allotted, visit Thakur Ramnarayan College of Law for document verification to confirm admission.

9. Pay all the fees for confirmation of your admission.

Degree wise Admission Process

BLS LLB and BA LLB: These are five-year integrated courses provided by TRCL. The admission is given according to the merit list of MH-CET Law. In this college, 120 seats are available for BLS LLB and 60 seats for BA LLB. The candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.

LLB: It is a three-year program with 60 seats. Admission is also based on MH-CET Law scores. Candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university to be eligible.

LLM Business Law: This two-year postgraduate program has 60 seats. Admission is based on the LL.M Entrance Examination conducted by the University of Mumbai and the marks secured in the LL.B degree. Candidates must have completed an LLB degree to be eligible.

Similar to the LL.M in Business Law, there are 60 seats for the LL.M in Criminal Law and Criminal Administration. Admission is strictly according to scores achieved in the LL.M Entrance Examination and LL.B marks.

you cannot pursue LLB course after completing your 12th , for doing LLB course you are first required to hold a bachelors degree in any relevant stream or what you can do is take up an integrated course of 5 years like B.COM (//B.COM) LLB , BA LLB , BBA LLB and many more.
