Thanjavur Medical College, Thanjavur Admission Process

The Thanjavur Medical College in Thanjavur is a college of repute with a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-specialty programs in medicine. The process of admission into TMC is competitive, and the procedures followed are strictly according to national regulatory bodies. The students, for different courses, are primarily admitted through national-level entrance tests. The NEET for the 45 seats in the MBBS was considered for admission. Owing to all admissions for MD and MS postgraduate programs being maintained via NEET-PG, the score obtained will be applicable for admissions in different branches. The ultimate qualifying of NEET-SS puts the M.Ch and DM courses within reach of the candidates.

The minimum eligibility for undergraduate schemes is passing the higher secondary examination (10+2) from a recognized board, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. Depending on the courses, a few require candidates to have secured at least a score of 50% in the qualifying exam. For postgraduate admissions to TMC, applicants should have obtained their degree in MBBS from any recognized university. The admission schedule is usually matched with the calendar of national medical education. Dates probably go up to affect the calendar; however, NEET is usually conducted in May, followed by NEET-PG in January and NEET-SS in June or July.
