UIIT Shimla conducted a session "Introduction to COMSOL Multiphysics Software" on October 15, 2024.
My college infrastructure is great, I personally find it very amusing. We have two big buildings in which there are various cabins for various faculty and we allow ourselves to fell the vibes of Shimla. So, I find the infrastructure of our college very fine.
Academics could not match my expectations, as i expected it to be more creative and more involving but it was not. Few teachers do care about students and there future knowing the aspect that in what conditions we are studying.
Most of my colleagues are well placed in whatever company they wanted to be in spite of those teachers in our college. Average salary offered was about 4.5 lac, and yes placement process was easy and pleasant for me.
Per year fees changed every year, it was high in the odd semesters and low in the even semesters. Also the fees was a bit high as our institute is self-financed institute.
I enjoyed my campus life, its location was one of the great factor why we could enjoy the campus life. The atmosphere, the environment there is quite pleasant, but it also gets irritating on rainy days.
I developed myself a lot during my college life so i would say it was great experience for me.
College infrastructure is about fine and not that fancy as other many institutes. But the amount of infrastructure now a days is not sufficient for the number of students present in this year's batch.
Teachers do teach with great enthusiasm keep only some of them in mind, also there's college library which is quite the help for get ourselves educated. Students have to study in order to pass the exams so there are also other methods for studying.
Placements is not an issue in our college, in order to get ourselves placed we need to find the right motivation. In our campus various different companies arrive to recruit students in there respective companies.
Our institute is self financed and its not worth the money which we pay for getting ourselves into the institute.
Campus life was great, when you have great friends how your campus life can not be great. There are various spots around the campus which were great to visit as we live in Shimla and it has great atmosphere all around.
Overall my college life was great I would say, got myself placed, its is a great place.
The college infrastructure is fine not doubt at all. When you enter in a college, there is quite the space for the parking and as in Shimla if there's place to park your car, its a big deal and also there's a big computer lab too.
There are teachers who are not that well trained as others but its fine with us as even some students are that careful with there studies. Also there is staff which is very well trained and greatly capable of teaching the students.
Our college provides various opportunities for getting ourselves placed in various campus placements, one who is keen and willingly want to get themselves placed will surely get an placement in the campus drives.
No, not upto the mark.
Various opportunities for spending our valuable time, and overall its quite good.
As per the location of our college it is quite good.
My college infrastructure is not that great but its even not that bad. Our classrooms are fixed with projector system which is used for displaying content which teachers have created for students, so overall we can work with the provided infrastructure.
Teachers in our college are not up to the mark I guess, some of them can be more supportive. Few of our teaching faculty is quite up to the mark and they show enthusiasm while teaching, but there are also teachers which are not serious towards teaching.
As our college has great history regarding placements and also have hundred percent placement in different batches. A lot of placement companies are invited in our campus which takes almost all the students who are interested and capable of getting placements.
Our college is self financed college and the facilities which we get for the amount of fees we pay is not worth. This is what I think which would regard the value for money aspect for the purpose of giving a review.
This would be same in most of the cases of your reviews as campus life is the best part many individuals life, our college has also great campus life one can get himself involved for killing his or her time.
No, nothing more, I think I have already mentioned enough details that would be sufficient.
Almost all the necessary facilities and equipment are available in our college. In the classroom, there's projector for displaying content to the classroom. And about sports center, as Shimla is situated on mountains so there's problem of space , our university has a ground which is enough to play any sport, and it is common for the whole University.
About the academics, the teachers are cooperative and takes interest in educating the students, but also there are few which don't have anything to do with the students, they have got well established job and don't pay much attention towards students. So, its average in academics.
Now about placements, most of the students are aware of the system which takes place in the college so they prepare themselves for the placement and about the time when our degree is about to over almost everybody gets placed. Students are quite mature i would say in our college.
As pur college is self financed institute, and we know about the amount of fees which we pay for getting ourselves into the the college, so overall i would say its not worth the money which we pay and what we get in return.
There's library in which anyone can hang around having a library card, the computer lab's a great place. Especially at the time of fest and technical fest the computer lab is lite as everybody used to play there favourite game and get paid for it.
