The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The College having Infirmary serves as a place for providing first-aid for treating minor cases such as minor cuts, wounds, etc. This place also serves as a resting place for sick girls. Facilities are provided for monitoring blood pressure, temperature, and BMI. All the major medical emergencies are referred to the nearest hospital under the existing MoU regarding the usage of the ambulance and medical care.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college Library System at the initial stage of College with 2000 books. The JVC library system consists of a central library and five departmental libraries that collectively support the teaching and extension programs of the institute. The Library and Information division of Vimal Jyothi Engineering college offers its services to about 1200 users comprising students of different branches of Engineering and faculty from various departments of the college and neighboring institutions. The primary mission of the library is to support the educational and research programs of the institute by providing physical and intellectual access to information, consistent with the present and the anticipated educational and research functions of the institute. Following the objectives of the institute, the library aims to develop a comprehensive collection of documents useful for the faculty and the student community of the institute. The library uses Greenstone digital library software for our digital library services. The library is in the process of installing Dspace Software for our institutional depositary services. The collection of the library includes books, journals, standards, and patents in the field of science and technology and books of general interest catering to the personality development of the user community. The books are arranged in six different sections. General, Reference, Book bank, and Special Collections.

The College has Sports Facility Outdoor Play Fields Athletic TrackCricket pitches indoors Stadium with state of the art facilities Table Tennis, Basket Ball, Badminton, Volley Ball, etc.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college canteen is providing an experience of multi-cuisine dishes to the students and the staff members at subsidized rates. It is directly run by the management to give paramount importance to the quality of food and hygiene.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The College provides a transport facility to almost all the main towns of the district.

The college has a good networking for the alumni association.

The College has laboratories facilities. The lab is suitably equipped with systems, software licenses, and other technical lab equipment.

The College Central Store carries various maintenance, repair, safety, and office supplies, computer supplies, and furniture items. Central Store is responsible for purchasing and maintaining an inventory of parts and supplies used in the college. It also functions as a receiving and distribution point for the entire campus.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The Placement Cell of Vimal Jyothi Engineering College (VJEC) started functioning in the academic year 2002-03. Our students achieved placement in various reputed companies through Campus Recruitment. Many IT and non-IT companies visit our college to select candidates. Vimal Jyothi also acts as a placement hub for the entire Malabar region. Companies conduct pool campus recruitments by using the excellent infrastructural facilities of VJEC. Representatives from the headquarters of Indian Army and Navy also visit our college to examine and select the brilliant and energetic candidates to meet their requirements. Placement Cell can also support the passing out students of every year to get direct placements in core companies in pan India even after their studies.

The Robotics Club also organizes seminars and workshops in the broad fields of robotics and mechatronics periodically. It also acts as a resource center and workshop for final-year projects. Each year robotics club is directly involved in a minimum of twenty projects and indirectly involved in many other projects. The Robotics Club is also into industry consultation projects.

The College has Arts Fest was held on the 21st and 22nd of January 2011. The programs inaugurated by Mr. Mejo Joseph( Music Director)
