Vishwavidyalaya Engineering College, Sarguja University (VEC) is one of the best colleges in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, VEC has been shaping the future of engineering education for over a decade now. Degree wise Admission Process
BE (Bachelor of Engineering):
VEC offers five BE courses: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Mining Engineering. Intake capacity of each course is 60 students. Admission in the courses is based on performance of the candidate in the respective engineering entrance examination. Eligibility is mostly passing 10+2 with major subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
M.Tech (Master of Technology):
Five M.Tech programs are offered by the college: Structural Engineering, Machine Design, Computer Technology and Application, Power System and Control, and Mining Engineering. All M.Tech programs have an intake of 18 students. Admission to M.Tech programs is likely based on GATE scores, followed by a likely interview process. The candidates must have a BE/B.Tech degree in the concerned field to be eligible for M.Tech programs.
There is poor academic record. Now days hope this will grow, because now this college under chhatisgarh swami vivekanand technical university by affiliated, this college will be better option in future, not now, there is not good academic enverment, there alot of people intersted politics.. That why join other best college, if you have option.
I am a mechanical engineering student at the college. Faculties are average in their quality of teaching. Course moves slowly as compared to other good colleges. Curriculum is not updated. There are two class tests and the end-sem exams in one semester.
