Viswajyothi College of Engineering and Technology, Ernakulam Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Viswajyothi College of Engineering and Technology (VJCET) is one of the reputed colleges of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University that specializes in a number of engineering and management disciplines. The college has maintained a very strict admission process that selects the most promising candidates with the highest amount of worthiness. Admission cycles for VJCH generally begin in May-June for the purpose of the subsequent academic year that begins during August-September for other colleges. KEAM marks are of paramount importance for the undergraduate admission process at VJCET; this is the most significant entrance examination for students across the country seeking admission to engineering programs in various colleges in Kerala. The examination is organized by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Government of Kerala. The KEAM exam is scheduled to be held this year from 24-28 April 2025. 

The national-level entrance examinations will be considered and accepted for admission to the post-graduate programs, including M.Tech programs, which will take GATE scores, and CAT/CMAT/KMAT scores for MBA programs. Basic requirements for admission to B.Tech courses would include 10+2 from any recognized board, with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. Most of these courses require 50% marks in the qualifying examination. A student will be considered for the postgraduate course if he/she has a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. The programs and entrance examination dictate the admission process important dates. Application Process

The application process varies with regards to the programs involved for VJCET:

For B.Tech programs:
1. Qualify the KEAM examination conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Govt. of Kerala.
2. Apply by KEAM official application process.
3. Wait for KEAM declared results and rank list.
4. Lastly, take part in the centralized allotment process made by the Kerala government.
5. Then, if a seat is allotted to you at VJCET, verify the documents and complete admission formalities at the college.

For MBA program:
1. Sit for the CAT, CMAT, or KMAT exam.
2. Thereafter apply directly to VJCET using the score gained in any of these exams.
3. For candidates shortlisted, Group Discussion and Personal Interview will be flown.
4. Final selection would be made from the aggregate score of undergraduate marks, entrance exams, GDs, and PIs.

For M.Tech courses:
1. Pass the GATE examination.
2. Apply directly to VJCET using the GATE score.
3. Shortlisted candidates may be called for further tests or interviews.
4. Final selection will be based on the GATE score and performance in the additional tests/interviews, if conducted.

The Admission Process degree Wise 

B.Tech: VJCET offers unique B.Tech programs such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Computer Science and Design, and Electronics and Computer Engineering. The admission of candidates into these programs is determined by their score in the KEAM examination. The total intake for admissions across all B.Tech programs in the college is 600.

MBA: For M.B.A at VJCET, the consideration for admission is by CAT, CMAT, or KMAT results. The program selects new intakes by forming a merit list computed based on the composite score from undergraduate marks, entrance exam scores, group discussion, and personal interviews. There are 60 permissible intakes for the program.

M.Tech: M.Tech courses available at VJCET include Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI and Embedded Systems, and Industrial Engineering and Management. Admissions to the institution are on the basis of GATE scores, with the admitted students being allocated 18 places for Computer Science and Engineering, 18 for VLSI and Embedded Systems, and 9 for Industrial Engineering and Management.
